Maybe in the Premiership so far, but this goal from our youngster Sam Byram against Oxford in the cup took far more to score than Baines' free kick. Only his 5th professional appearance as well.
I must say after readin this , I support Kevin-Prince Boateng actions in walkin off the pitch, not only is he supportin his team-mates, he's rightfully takin a stand against racism. It's also good to see that Boateng's team-mates showed their support too by leavin the pitch in protest. UEFA & FIFA really need to act on this now, in like givin lifelong bans to these disgustin, mindless racist idiots . Racism in football NEED TO STOP NOW!!!!

If he avoids injuries then he should be a solid signing for them as he is a quality player, but he has been a bit injury prone at AC Milan, so if that continues at Corinthians, well then that 12 million they paid for him is going to be a bit of a rip off for Corinthians.
I'm very impressed that Tottenham have managed to sign Lewis Holtby from Schalke, as he is a very good player and will definitely strengthen their midfield.
I think Spurs just need to add more strength and depth to the squad to fully complete it by adding another midfielder and another striker.
I do wonder though is AVB planning to ditch the current 4-4-2 formation and switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation next season.
It does look like a very strong first team when you look at it set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Not a bad looking team that to be fair, when he was at porto he played a very attacking 4-3-3 which gave him lots of success, with similar types of player, falcao was the guy down the middle though, no disrespect to defoe but if they get another world class striker in, can see spurs going far under AVB I think Somebody like Fred from Fluminese or Damiao from internacianal would fit well into a 433 as the middle man under AVB
I do think bale will leave at the end of the season too so maybe you will bring in willian from shakhtar, i know AVB is a fan of him

He would probably cost a lot of money, but if Bale leaves one day, which I think will happen, I think James Rodriguez would be a decent replacement for Bale, although I'm not sure which wing Rodriguez plays on, so he might not be a suitable replacement for Bale.
Never heard of Fred at Fluminese, but if my memory serves me right, I think he may of played for Lyon before. I have heard a lot about Damiao and the strong interest Spurs have in him, but nothing ever seems to develop there.
Willian is another quality player that would fit in well at Spurs. I have only seen him in the Champions League, but he has always impressed me. But now that they have signed Holtby, will Spurs bother with Willian? They could always rotate between the two players, which would keep them both happy. Definitely exciting times for Spurs with AVB in charge of them.
rodriguez can play anywhere along a front 3 really although when AVB was incharge at porto we had him mainly playing from the left with falcao in the middle and hulk on the right and moutinho playing behind in the hole, that was a great team. I think hulk would have been a good buy for a premier league team as he has pace and power and he's built like a brick shit house, shame he went to a club like zenit though, he's already said he doesn't want to play there anymore, cant blame him really so hopefully he will move to the premier league soon.
I think rodriguez would fit in really well at spurs though with AVB as he would already know his type of game and whats expected, i know the united scum were looking at him last summer. He's a player I think would do well at liverpool too.
Again with willian he's more for a central role but he can play pretty much anywhere in attack or in midfield so would give lots of options and be able to play the two together somehow, I think eventually AVB will go to a 433 with the types of players he's bringing in.
