Sad that it's the 35-year-old will have just two matches left in a distinguished career with Liverpool FC.
But it's even sadder that he is to become a Sky television pundit next season.
He's been a great player but I don't think that I can take much of his high pitched Scouse accent.
I've listened to him a few times on ITV for internationals and I think he ranks alongside Nevin and Neville as being very insightful in their view points.

After predicting all the games left in the season, I have Arsenal edging out Spurs on goal difference for 4th place and Newcastle just surviving ahead of Wigan by a point.
My Final Table...
Man Utd 89 pts
Man City 83 pts
Spurs 74 pts
Arsenal 73 pts
Chelsea 68 pts
Liverpool 63 pts
Everton 63 pts
West Brom 52 pts
West Ham 48 pts
Fulham 44 pts
Swansea 43 pts
Southampton 43 pts
Sunderland 41 pts
Wigan 41 pts
Villa 41 pts
Stoke 40 pts
Newcastle 40 pts
Norwich 39 pts
QPR 25 pts
Reading 25 pts
Got you safe by a point mate... Norwich to go down.
Oh no not Norwich. I wish it was Stoke, but I don't think we will ever see them relegated under Pulis.
Love to see him and Gary neville the liverpool man u games could b punchup lol
It's interesting doing those predictions for the last 3 games... I'd say Wigan will go down if you asked me now but then you do the predictions and it looks totally different?
I've got Norwich taking 1 point from they're last 3 games. Got them to draw at home with West Brom next week. Think Villa will beat them tomorrow and they play City in Manchester on the last day...
I'm half way down the prediction table though, we should ask Phoenix to have a crack.

Being such an optimist I'll somehow have Chelsea finishing 12th and Spurs pipping United to the title

Did the lightening hit the pitch?
Yea it hit pitch, apparently people say somebody did witchcraft or curse because if you watch again all the team in white stripes get back up but other team are all stay down and couple of their players died after this but all other team was fine. If you look you can see it hit corner flag.
