And 6th position makes the Europa league so if the table stays the same there WILL be European distraction.....i never said anything about championships by the way Step by Step....lets get in the top 4 again before there's any talk of winning championships
are u sure yoda? i think if u finish 6th you dont get in europe, it depends on who wins the carling or fa cup i think.
I'm certain that 7th placed teams qualification depends on the cup winners. We finished 7th last season
and got in the Europa league because Man Utd won the Carling Cup. 5th and 6th qualify straight off.

i think 5th spot gets a place in the europa league and the winners of the carling cup and the fa cup as well but i mite be mistaken, so i dont think 6th place does unless they have changed the rules again!
Just to mention also, today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Munich air crash so my thoughts go to Manchester Utd and the players, staff and journalists who died as a result of that disaster. Footballing rivalries take a back seat when it comes to disasters like Munich so R.I.P to the 23 who lost their lives as a result of that disaster.
citeh and liverpool are in this year's europa league and neither of them won the carling or FA cup, also if the top 6 win both the FA cup and carling then whoever gets 7th get's the europa position, something like that anyway. what about fair play aswell dont they get a europa spot ?

Well said Master Yoda! So many opposition fans use the Munich air disaster as a means of goading United fans at matches, so much so that I've long since given up even feeling angry about it because these people are not worthy of my time. So what a refreshing change to read the above, particularly coming from a Liverpool supporter, United's greatest traditional rivals.
Yoda, you're a credit to yourself, your club and this football banter thread.
