Crapello boobed by playing Rooney. His head can't have been screwed on right after hearing his dad and uncle were busted for match fixing. Then again, when is Rooney's head ever on right?
He's a total liability who just seems to attract trouble. Very overrated for me as well - people talk about world class - but having class means temperament aswell as ability - and he just doesn't have it.
Nah.... I hope he's banned for more than just one game in the Euros - will force Crapello to give other players a chance instead of the usual England wasters.
So Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic and Croatia are the 4 seeded teams in the playoff draw, and the other 4 teams are Bosnia, Turkey, Montenegro and Estonia.
What ideal pairings would you want and who would you want to progress?
I'd love to see:
Ireland vs Estonia - Ireland progressing
Portugal vs Montenegro - Portugal progressing
Croatia vs Bosnia - Bosnia progressing
Czech vs Turkey - Turkey progressing

what absolute bollocks! having class means temperament as well as ability so by that logic zidane wasnt world class after he headbutted that italian twat in the world cup final, the biggest game of all!
Think Regenerated probs meant the lad's got little class as a person mate and he'd be spot on i reckon.Nobody can knock the lad's ability though. He's right up there on that front.
The Zidane headbutt was a one off, don't think he'd done anything crazy like that before? He's one of the best ever for me.
totally agree zidane 1 of the greatest ever and world class and 1 sending off as i remember at international level doesnt make him not world class. i think rooneys only been sent off twice at international level. rooney hasnt got class and we all know that but he can play football and his work rate for a forward is good, he might not always have the ball but he always goes looking for it and hes always helping out so i for one want to see him in an england shirt.

Croatia V Bosnia - Bosnia progressing (would like to see upset here)
Czexh V Turkey - Czech Progressing

sometime today. they could ban him up to 3 games i think and we know theres certain people in the football governing bodies who will try their hardest to stop england at all costs even thou they might not have much chance with their best team anyway.

Yep, he has done something crazy like it before in the Champions League Juventus vs Hamburg in 2000.
This quote somes it up for me "There is no great genius without some touch of madness" ~Lucius Annaeus Seneca, "On Tranquillity of the Mind"
But as you said he was on of the best you only have to see, Zidan - A 21st Century Portrait where cameras follow he's every move on the pitch!
This has to be the best football movie that I have seen as you get to how Zidane does his stuff and see his technique, touch, work-rate, vision etc
