He is injured all the time, turned his back on your country, slow, if england wat to progress they need to move on and give younger players a chance, personally I don't see England even making it too next years world cup. And ferdinand retiring is no big loss, whens the last time he did anything worth remembering playing for england that another defender couldnt do?.

Yeah England are a truly awful team. The only teams that are worse are the ones we beat....remind us again. Who did we beat fairly recently?
Of course England will qualify...it wouldn't be a World Cup if they failed to qualify so that they could under-achieve and make life excruciating.

but hes been playing games regular the last few seasons without loads of injurys. won another league championship again being a major part of that team, not sure about your point about worth remembering! what do you want me to say? something like that tackle by moore on pele? i understand why he turned his back on England after hodgson chose terry then every1 was getting injured before the euros and he still wouldn't get picked cos terry was in the squad, then when terry retires hodgson wanted him back, after saying on the tube he wont pick him again hmmm. the point about England not making it to the next world cup well u mite be rite, Montenegro mite top our group. just think its a bit harsh saying hes past it, when hes played regularly for the team that's just won the league. agree about young players but do England have them. we always hear about our under 21's but who is going go step up, obviously wilshere already in the England squad is our best young player by a mile when hes fit but who else!

Cleverley, Jones, Smalling at United are progressing well and have international futures as do one or two Liverpool youngsters. Walker at Spurs can do a job too. There are good English players in the lower leagues but they struggle to get a chance as the transfer fees put off the bigger clubs from buying them. The future is not bleak we just lack a really exciting talent. The fact is clubs have imported too many cheaper players from abroad to the detriment of our national game over the last ten years.

yeah but we have just had our so called golden generation haven't we and they didn't do much. suppose it doesn't help when u have a national team manager who plays arguably the best midfielder of his generation on the left wing
I noticed u mentioned cleverly jones smalling walker by name but no one else. what about forwards? if you want pace then we have people like Walcott and the ox but goalscorers, I mean welbeck at this minute doesn't score enough does he? maybe sturridge hes still young.
Chelsea join juventus ajax and munich by winning all 3 European trophys! benitez comes in first season wins a European trophy and hes out just same as rdm last season, so strange!
It would be ironic if the special one's return turned out to be not that special next season with Rafa, the guy they didn't want bagging them a European trophy. This can only add to his credentials and should guarantee him a decent job somewhere. I have heard that Napoli are interested. Never though Everton might go for him
