Begs the question: What was the point in sacking McCarthy if all you are going to do is replace him with his assistant? Typical Wolves, could not run a piss up in a brewery
Morgan and Moxey have possibly let the clubs reputation slip a little, but we've got to get behind TC for the remainder of the season. It was a decent draw yesterday, I just hope its not another false start and they don't follow it up with a pasting at Fulham. They'd better not, I'm going to that one.
I'd rather have TC in charge over Bruce anyway. The fans don't really want Bruce and he's got a bit of a rep for walking out on jobs. We don't need him. Stick with TC until the end of the season, if we stop up, great. Then appoint someone else permanently in the summer.
I heard the goalkeeping coach on talksport on Friday afternoon and he was really really positive with the appointment of TC. He seems to think it was the best appointment to be made and the players are buzzing, judging by the result I'd say he has the dressing room.
I wish TC well. Its not his fault that Morgan and Moxey have made a complete dogs breakfast of the recruitment process and made the club look a laughing stock in the
process. And I'm not having them dressing it up as broken confidences being to blame either. Morgan made a scandalous error of judgement in spending money on the stadium when it was obvious it needed spending on the team. He made another by undermining McCarthy's authority by his post match dressing room intervention after the Liverpool match which may have put off quite a few of the managers connected to the job. He then decided to sack the manager at a time when the transfer window had already shut giving the new man no capability to add quality and only 13 games to save the season with a team that is patently not good enough. He also leaves Moxey to tell McCarthy the news while he is on a skiing holiday, which is just plain gutless and spineless. Sacking a manager with no inkling of who to get to replace him with and then engaging in a farcical recruitment process is just appalling. And now TC has to try and clean up the mess and somehow keep this team up. All I can say is Good luck mate, your'e going to need it.
Despite the draw at Newcastle, its still worrying times at Molineux. I've said all along that the team in its current form simply does not have enough quality to maintain a premier league challenge. The money has been spent on building houses and a stupid looking stand on the North Bank instead of on the team.
Wolves fans have been let down far too many times by this board. Morgan doesn't even seem committed to me to putting resources in to the academy, let alone the first team.
I'm only hoping we can somehow survive this season and then close the book on a wretched chapter in Wolves' history.
manure are complainging (nothing new) to ufea about only getting 2000 tickets for the tncft game against bilbao and being charged £77. manure have done it to others so they dont have the right to complain.
