I know I'm an QPR fan but Suarez is lucky that he's not being pursued for questioning by Merseyside police for a common assault or worse since Asanovic isn't taking the matter further. He got seven games in Holland for doing the same thing, but the thing I found most on 606 on Sunday was that some people compared it to the Cantona situation at Crystal Palace.
Yet I do think the FA will only ban him to the end of the season since the referee hasn't included it in his match report. It is good the goal line technology is being brought in for next season but I would like to think that the linesman should have brought it to the attention of the referee. I would like to think
at some point Liverpool will cut their losses on him. Why does he have to ruin his talent with incidents like this? If I was the FA, I would ban him for the rest of season plus 6 games for next season. I wouldn't be surprised if FIFA pick up on it before too long. I doubt if he'd get a world wide ban like Cantona did, but Liverpool should send him home until he can play again. but he has taken his role model behaviour to a new low.

It's a banter thread! That part of your post made me laugh, it was funny. That's why I quoted it.
Alwayswanking... Aint a red mate. He's a manc. He was sussed out months ago. Ask any of the other reds on here what they think of him. He didn't thank any of the tributes to the 96 or Anne Williams either. Fans of all sorts of clubs in there thanking those posts and making tributes and not one from him.
A red my arse.
I bloody hope he is not a United fan. We have enough haters without people encouraging further unneeded animosity. What is the fucking point of pretending to be an opposition fan? I wish people would spend their time and energy supporting their own team and none on their rival teams and fans. Obviously there is bitter rivalry between Man United and Liverpool but there is no need to hate them or their fans. I want Liverpool to become a better team along with all the other premier teams. Surely it is more desirable to win a strong and healthy league than a lesser one?
I have worked with many Liverpool and City supporters and that rivalry has not stopped me being friends with many of them. That feeling of joy when going to work on a Monday after your team has got one over the rival team carries you through the week!
As pointed out this is the banter thread (aka light hearted humour) and not the baiting thread.

exactly my sentiments why can't some people take a little bit of mickey taking related with football is beyond me. I accept that to some people, football is like a religion, but a little light hearted banter should be seen as just that.

I can certainly see the comparisons between this and Van Basten's goal against USSR IN '88, but can I point out that that goal was scored at a more
acute angle than this one. If RVP doesn't end up top scorer for this season, I'll be amazed.

I think the chances of Van Persie scoring from that position were at least a hundred times greater than the chances of Van Basten scoring from his position.
the English media is quite xenophobic, i must say. How come when Rooney or Terry cheat on their wives, we forget they are role models and just say meh and when Suarez just handles a ball unintentionally, he destroyed the moral fiber of football and must apologize to everyone. The English FA even forgot Defoes's bite on mascharano before too. I think the only thing coming out stupid from this incident is the media.
saw this comment on youtube about the Suarez bite, have to say this is so true.

I agree. Van Persie's goal was quality no doubt, but Van Basten's goal was so rare and special. To beat the keeper from that kind of angle is fantastic.

Well said sir.
I couldn't care less about any other football club. Been on this forum for over 3 years and not once started up anything about another club. Not looked at the United or Chelsea threads either. Only got involved to defend Liverpool. We used to have a pair of mancs who'd come in here and the Liverpool thread to get stuck in, one was a nasty piece of work, so I'd have a go back. If people come to attack your club for no reason then you'll always defend it. I know i will. But I'll never start anything.
People coming in here with a line and hook should jog on, should be light hearted like you say.
Quality finish from JFM last night by the way. Used to tuck them away like that myself back in the day...
Technique.
Huge transfer news as well today.
Bayern Munich have agreed I think a £30 million transfer with Borussia Dortmund for star player Mario Gotez.
An awful day that for European and German football. Hopefully it doesn't affect Dortmund too much and they can use the money and also from the Lewandowski sale to invest in new recruits like Eriksen or Isco.
Also sorry to bring it up again, but I think the Suarez incident has gone too far now.
