both. gerrard twatting a poor bloke to change the music. rooney for fucking up at the world cup, i headbutted the table.
you dont see federer and nadal being abusive and swearing to the officials, at the spectators or at the camera. if they did they would lose money and a game in the match they are playing.
the red top papers know that a story about footballers, celebs falling out of nightclubs etc sells papers.

No but they can contest an officials decision so don't really need to berate them
What made me laugh about the Rooney shite was sky sports news, they was been all outraged and stuff then a couple of mins later they was showing 2 rugby players fighting in super slow-mo but that didn't seem to bother them. But I guess it's only a story because of who it involved.

Haha, that made me laugh.

I couldn't agree more gaz & I'm sure your with me on this one aswell. Sky Sports News fucks me off on the same grounds as you said when they're willing to show & laugh at 2 ice hocky players fighting, yet they still flat out refuse to even report on mixed martial arts (UFC).
Ice hocky. a sport that is bearly even known across the majority in this country where as the UFC organisation is not only the biggest growing team style organisation in the world but is soley making mma the fastest growing sport in the world, SSN is a great channel but it's also great at having double standards!!!
there are unwritten rules to fighting in ice hockey, its always 1 on 1, if someone tries to join in a member of the opposing team pulls them away. this always goes unnoticed by people, im surprised that ssn dont know that since they are meant to experts in sport, oh sorry they are autocue readers.
this is sad state of affairs rooney would be banged up for what said if he was on a night out. its now becoming a non-story and everyone jumping on the bandwagon.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footbal...ficer.html
there use to proper fighting in english football now its all pansy slapping. if you going to hit someone throw a good solid hayemaker and get a deserved red card, fine and ban.
Haha! That Telegraph story you've highlighted there Bigguy is just atypical of such as the police jumping onto the bandwagon (driven shamelessly by UFC fanatic Groundnpound) where people just want their fifteen minutes of fame that Andy Warhol promised them.
Perhaps if the head of Wolverhampton Police concentrated on looking for criminals on his own doorstep instead of Twatting or Blogging on his self-important thread then the West Midlands taxpayer might sleep easier at night. But hey, at least Rooney'd have been banged up in Wolverhampton; in Southport he'd have gotten away with it scot-free
!
It reminds me of the Stoke-On-Trent female MP in 1995 who condemned United in Parliament for playing the reserves at Port Vale in the League Cup one night, saying the locals had been fooled into parting with good money only to see nonentities instead of stars. Those nonentities included future stars David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Gary and Phil Neville and two-goal Paul Scholes
Like I say, where would half of these self-righteous tw@ts be without United in their lives? Probably having to do their jobs most likely
!
Wasnt Steven Gerrard found not guilty of bashing that manc supporting "dj" when he was brought in front of a court of law???
Just saying..............
So Rooney would be locked up for what he did would he? you must be bloody joking. These days nothing short of murder would get you arrested, i live in birmingham and on a Saturday night it,s like a war zone, and the police only bother to do anything if you interrupt their tea break. If two idiots on a football pitch want to go at it, then let them do it and the ref can sort it out as he is supposed to. The police chiefs just love seeing their names in the paper, and what better way to do it than use a high profile name like Rooney,s to get their worthless opinions in.
Of course we have to understand that when it happens on the TV in front of millions of viewers then the job is done for them ( not too much detection needed ) so they are quite happy to get involved.
And politicians are just as bad trying to cash in on the success on the nations sporting teams, the Ashes, Rugby world cup, Ryder cup, anything to get a few extra votes and make themselves seem one of the lads.
They should leave sporting matters in the hands of the appropriate sporting bodies, shut their stupid mouths and get on and do the jobs they are paid to do.

He was indeed Master! He was indeed!
The word on the street is that it was a couple of Ahhrington Stanlee players who in fact threw the punch. Gerrard's bitches are thus doing time for him as he was man enough to do the crime but not man enough to do the time allegedly, according to sources close to the case who are obviously making it up as they go along cough, cough!
I'm sure they'll be suitably rewarded by the Premiership medalless one to compensate them for their baboon backsides when they leave their present abode if these scurrilous rumours are to be believed, which of course they aren't
In actual fact, while in court, Mr. Gerrard did admit to throwing some punches at the guy in self defence. It was then that, his mates weighed in for their two pence worth, which happens up and down the country on a night out with any group of mates when one of the group is involved in a fight.
Anyway upon reading out the jury's verdict, the judge presiding over the case said the following to Mr. Gerrard.....
And i quote...........
"The verdict is a credible verdict based on the full facts of this case, and you walk away from this court with your reputation intact"
Case dismissed
