Now, I know why RVP was angry, any player would if they were kicked full in the head by the ball like that, but for Fergie to say that Williams could of killed RVP & havin him banned for life is crazy. Williams did the decent thing at the end of the game in apologizing to RVP. Fergie really need to stop throwin his toys out of the pram & grow up.
heres what rooney said:
"I think it's one of those things," he said. "The whistle's gone, the defender has gone to clear and it's hit him in the head. I think it was probably the right decision from the referee."
on another note that Charles Green guy who owns Rangers really needs to give it a rest too! all he does is fucking whinge!
Hitting van Persie's head with the ball was a complete accident and the referee got it right. Well done Michael Oliver for a good decision. The FA will take no further action so the story is over now. van Persie was quick to jump up after it happened and didn't require any medical treatment either, so there was clearly no need for any concern over his well being. There are examples of players being knocked out by being hit on the head by a football however, so in general there is some degree of danger, although nothing worse than being knocked out has ever been recorded, so Ferguson's 'could have been killed' was something of an exaggeration.

like i said i agree with what ur sayin that fergies reaction was over the top but disagree with it being an accident, alot think he didnt mean to do it but maybe im the only 1 who thinks he did mean to do it but at least no damage done and maybe van persie cud hav seen red for retaliating.
Then again would you agree that the media made more of Fergie's comments thsn they should have done?

Even with the scoreline, I still suspected it was a lukewarm atmosphere at the final whistle, just from watching on the television. But I am pleased you routed Villa.... you must be wishing you could play them every week..
I'm a bit worried that if we keep this up Roman will start getting ideas and sticks by Benitez, will be kind of ironic if the one manager we all want gone is the only one Abramovich doesn't sack.
Never know what to expect when we play Villa at the Bridge. 8-0 today, lost 1-3 last season, won 7-1 I think the season before that, and 4-4 before that.
I know - I'm finding the Villa's results the hardest to guess in the predictions thread. I mean they go and beat Liverpool 3-1 last week which I still can't believe happened, especially after today, and I wouldn't be surprised if they thrash Spurs on Boxing Day.
Still its nice for me when they get a drubbing like today - because it means some of the guys down the pub won't be able to give me as much stick over the Wolves!
If he does sack Benitez and given Mourinho's cureent positon at Real, could the 'Special One' be in line for a sensational return to the PL and the Bridge? i doubt Pepe would consider any offer from Chelsea seriously enough.

End of the day a footballer got hit on the head with a football... so what..."lucky to be alive"... what kind of daft cunt comes out with that.. has he never seen the sport of boxing before?
Personally I think it was an accident and it was pretty much same time as the whistle was blowing, so it wasn't after the whistle, even if he did do it on purpose nobody can prove it, and if he did, fairplay it's a man united player lol if anything van persies reaction warrents a punishment alone.. and ferguson should be fined for his comments, any other manger would be.
Nice to read a well balanced, unbiased post in here
Only the truth my friend!
Now Wenger's saying he will only do business in January if there are "exceptional" players, what's his problem it's clear we need players yet he refuses
