it was that 7 year contract that did for pardew. until then he had done well.
would say only the businessmen who go into clubs as an investment and want to make money on them are the ones that fail the ones like abramovich, the guys at Man City and say Jack walker when he bought rovers they didnt go into it for getting money back they did it because they wanted to own clubs and jack walker did it for the town he loved I would put dave whelan in that bracket as well
Kinnear is a dinosaur he done well at Luton but he is out of his depth at this director thing in the prem
Well AVB will be out of a job if spurs don't make top 4 this season...

Can't see Spurs not making top 4. Along with United, City and Chelsea there is no one else really in the same league over the course of a season.
Unless they sort out the Bale situation pretty quickly, I think Spurs will just miss out. I don't think it'll be AVB's fault if that happens I reckon Levy would need to shoulder some blame too.
I wouldn't right off Arsenal too quickly. They always begin the season in a mess (couldn't score for toffee this time last year, losing 8-2 to United the season before), but Wenger has a knack of getting them to kick on from around the New Year onwards. But they certainly need to get 2 or 3 players in pronto!

You make it sound like everything is okay and like Wenger does a great job of having the team 'kick on'' to success. They kick on to mediocrity. They barely scrape top 4 these days and the last time they finished in the top 2 was probably about a decade ago or something. They should be doing better than that!
You're probably right though, they will pick up from where they are now, they will improve and they will maybe finish 4th again, have a party and celebrate another top 4 finish. If there happy with that, then..... Kick on!!
Although this year, they might not even manage to get 4th if Spurs get all these signings over the line.
For all the failings in cups and not challenging for the league we do still make that 4th spot though, think they should be more of an inquest as to why spurs and Liverpool always miss out , I mean they were bringing in the players and in Liverpool's case were paying huge amounts in the form of 20m deals for Henderson and downing as well as the 35m for caroll, wernt all that done to get 4th? Yes it was, have they done it? No.
The criticism of us is justified as there has been no significant signings but people should be wondering how we still manage to get the 4th place and how can spurs blow 8 and 10 point leads to miss out, if we finish below spurs that would be a travesty by everyone but the fact that Everton finished above Liverpool that is nothing and its fine.
West Brom's Nicolas Anelka walks out of training & tells staff he is retiring according to SSN sources.
yep like i said on another thread the media seem to like spurs and liverpool for some reason, i reckon half of these journalists are liverpool fans, im bored of hearing them slag of arsenal all the time, it's like they are trying to force wenger to spend, fair enough he should do as they are way off challanging for the title but as you say they still make champions league every year, why don't liverpool got stick for not winning the prem for 25 years or whatever it is, tbf to spurs they have done ok in recent years they are not a big club like arsenal or liverpool and they have finished 4th a couple of times, i think the media like spurs as they are kind of the underdogs compared to the other big clubs plus they liked harry redknapp when he was there
