Its very unfair of Martin Samuel to compare the season Redknapp and Hodgson are having this year with Tottenham and West Brom, as Tottenham have a bigger budget than West Brom. If you look back on their whole managerial careers and the amount of trophies they have won, Hodgson wins. If you look on who has more experience in International football Hodgson wins and its proven by the good jobs he did with Switzerland and Finland. The media should grow up, stop whining and get behind Hodgson to call him Mr. Average is a disgrace, Hodgson doesn't deserve this abuse. I'm not an England supporter, but I would like to see Hodgson prove the media wrong and rub their slimy faces in it for not backing him
Sorry for posting this so many times, but if you're not going to the pub or have Sky Sports then use Hqfooty or Wiziwig to watch the match
I think Mr Samuels journalistic approach is pretty average and mediocre. It smells to me like the usual back slapping between journo's and Candle face, so by way of sticking up for his mate he decides to tear into the new manager.
Candle face has won a single cup in his years as manager, brought for by Milan Mandaric at the expense of Portsmouth F.C

When Pompey were lifting the Cup, Mandaric was busy overseeing Leicester's first ever relegation to the Third Division, as it should still be called
Wasn't it Gaydamak who did most of the crazy spending?
However, I do agree with your main point. 'Arry's mates in the media are pig sick that he didn't get the job, and will be on Roy Hodgson's back as soon as there's a less-than-perfect result, which probably means after his first friendly match.
Man City look the better team, look the most likely to score first
Its 1-0 Man City, Kompany scores
It might be costly from Mancini to take off Tevez who is an attacker and bring on de Jong who is a defensive midfielder
