Yesterday Maltese football team Hibernians were saying that they were going to offer Ched Evans a contract.
However today the Prime Minister of Malta were warning the the club were bringing the island into disrepute.
And also the Minister of Justice have pointed out that Evans is 'Out on Licence' and the conditions state that he can't leave Britain
So it looks like that move is sunk
Really tragic sad news I found out on while watching/reading the white vidiprinter on Sky Sports News HQ today, that Anzhi Machachkala midfielder Gasan Magomedov was shot dead near his parent's home near Russia's North Caucasus. The 20yr old former youth team player was driving on Saturday when his car was hit with machine-gun fire and died from his wounds while being transported to hospital, Anzhi said.
No arrest have been made and the motive is unclear, the club added.
Anzhi sent "deepest condolences" to the family of Magomedov, a midfielder in the club's youth and reserve teams.
I also like to give my heartfelt condolences to Mr. Magamedov's family, friends, team-mates and fans during this very, very sad time.
R.I.P. Gasan Magomedov
I see that the BBC have associated the present Wimbledon team with that of the 1988 Don's team. But the club was taken over and moved to MK. So I'm unsure which of the two team's are entitled to have the FA cup history.
From MK Dons Wiki page :
' Legally speaking, Milton Keynes Dons F.C. is the continuation of Wimbledon F.C., which was formed in south London in 1889. Wimbledon F.C. moved to Milton Keynes in 2003 and the following year changed its name to MK Dons. Since 2006 MK Dons has officially considered itself a new club, formed in 2004; it no longer claims history before then. '
So AFC Wimbledon in effect have the history of the original Wimbledon .

Thank you for posting that Mr77.
Yes indeed the FA Cup we won is in OUR trophy cabinet. MK Dons returned it to us in 2007.
Is it just me or does anybody else get sick to death of hearing sky sports talk about ched evans 24/7?
Is there nothing more important or interesting happening in the world of sport? This tv channel annoys me so much making massive things out of everything..

The other day I heard Alan Brazil say that Liverpool had beaten the Wimbledon Dons.

agree totally, shame they didn't have a problem promoting mike tyson on sky box office, oh wait they were making money from that
Chelsea seem a little naive in hindsight, given the way Frank Lampard has been allowed to remain with their closest rivals this season. An apparent master stroke in deviousness from City in getting around the FFP rules.

We offered Frank a new contract but he felt the time was right to move on. What have we done that was naive?
