I'm sorry but that's nonsense. There's no guarantee that Mancini will win the premier league so he badly needed to win the Europa if possible. Man City have a big enough squad to cope with a few extra matches.

Of course Joe Hart's last minute header WAS ONLY JUST saved by the Sporting keeper. Besides, why send your own keeper forward anyway if you're not trying to get the winning goal?

I'm not sure about that. If Mancini came within a point of two of winning the league and had also won the Europa League surely that would make a pretty good season?

Man City were rotten in the first half but in the end they went down fighting.
Mancini is losing a lot of face if you ask me. He has said twice this season after defeat that he did not prepare for that particular fixture. After Everton he said they hadn't prepared and thought it would be easy, and he said the same last night. What sort of idiot doesn't prepare properly for a fixture!?! Everton away is always going to be tough, Sporting Lisbon in Europe ain't going to be easy either, especially as they were already behind. Just sounds like he is incompetent when he say's things like that.
He will be under severe pressure to win the league this time round given they surrendered in the Champions League so easily and bowed out last night.
Saying that though he has made year on year improvements, I think it would depend on who they could get to replace him first.
They've been a class act all season. Fair play to Swansea, they play very decent football and have some great players. Some decent English players too but for some reason not in the England squad... Hmmm
