I'm pleased Newcastle got off to an ok start with a 0-0 away draw against Maritimo with an under strength team.
I just wish Pardew would play a stronger team in Europe, as we must appreciate playing in Europe

I bet if an English team went on a long unbeaten run like Juventus then Redknapp would be singing their praises every fucking day and would declare them the best team that football has ever seen.
Juventus are a very good side, people can argue that they went unbeaten in a league that has gone down over they years although I think its picked up a bit lately, but they can only beat what is in front of them and they should get an A grade for that. Juventus only conceded 20 goals in the league last season, which was one of the best defensive records out of all the major leagues last season. Not bad for a team, who Redknapp perceives as not being a good team
Good point but Juve have a recent history of match fixing. Perhaps that run of winning games is not as impressive as it sounds
I seem to recall a few years ago, weren't Juve thrown out of Serie A for match fixing and were relegated a few divisions? If they only conceded 20 how many teams did they collude with to ensure they won only games they were expected to win and told their opponents not to score a goal? I get the feeling the Italian FA must be in the hands of the Mob!! is the investigstion still on going? Still Tottenham did themselves proud to get a draw against them, so that means we (QPR) get the backlash today for them not winning in europe.

It was actually Lazio that they played in the Europa League on Thursday, as it was the clash between two of Gazza's former clubs. I doubt whether Spurs are really that bothered about that competition, even though they have a manager who won it two seasons ago.

I think AVB came out in the week and said he genuinely wanted to win it!
AVB pretty much said that all the tournament Spurs are in that he wants to win all of them and make a 100% effort because he wants them a winning and positive mentality.
I bet Levey was really interested in reading that comment from AVB!!!

thanks for putting me right Eagle, of course it was Lazio who played Spurs and as I understand from 5 live this morning are now under investigation for the monkey chanting that went on. Did Spurs make a complaint or the fans?
Tackle of the week award this week must go to the refere who got tackled yesterday!!
