just my opinion.

He tried something different in a meaningless pre-season friendly, shoot the lad!!! I think the following article sums up modern day football perfectly, players should be encouraged to have some fun whilst playing and try different things.

The bottom 3 is a hard one to guess! I think you have it covered in the list you made, apart from QPR. I think they will have enough about them to be ok, and if not, by January, they will buy their safty with transfers. I can see Blackburn being in trouble if they don't start off so well. Swansea and Norwich will struggle as they have few Premier League quality players between them, and will find it hard to attract that kind of calibre player to their team.
West Brom, Stoke, Newcastle, Fulham, Sunderland, Bolton & Wolves all need good starts to the season.
But anything can happen, which makes the Premier League the best league to watch!

4 Even I'm querying this one.
I don't see why everyone think City are definitely gonna finish in the top 4 even more so top 3, yeah their squad is good & they're hard to beat but they don't play good football & next season are in the Champions League so will need to fire on all fronts which isn't gonna be easy. If they get out of the Champions League group stage & finish 4th I'd say that would be a good season but I don't see them being in the title race for the full length of the season???
Mitchell - The reason I think they will be up there is because they haven't finished spending... YET! I think a couple more additions will still be made. They made the top 4 last season playing rigid and defensive. It will be a case of wait and see....

Blackburn haven't really changed their squad which nearly saw them relegated last season. Trouble behind the scenes. Norwich and Swansea I think will be similar to Blackpool, in terms of they will rely on team spirit and grit, that never say die attitude.
I can see West Brom, Stoke and Wolves being dragged into it if they're not careful, I think the other teams will have enough about them.
If Sunderland don't finish in the top 10 minimum Steve Bruce must lose his job, Shirly!

I agree with the Bruce situation! He's bought so many players(some decent ones at that) that they should be in the top 10!
I agree with everything else you say as well, but I just have a funny feeling a team like Newcastle will be down there. The last few seasons have sprung a surprise with one of the teams relegated, so that's the theory I'm going with!
Yeah thinking about it you might be right. Pardew is a ropey gaffer, and he hasn't exactly brought any decent players in (Ba aside) a lot of unknown French players are playing for 'Le Toon' now who lack EPL experiance. If Joey Barton goes I think they might be in trouble. Espcially with lack of firing power as well.
I think Bruce has done pretty poor with Sunderland so far, he definitely needs to improve next year. Spend shit loads so far so the pressure is on....
As a side thought, I wonder if Bent would have left Sunderland if he knew both Young and Downing would have gone and Alex McGinge would now be in charge.
