This is the current payment schedule for the Premier League parachute payments:
1st season: £16m
2nd season: £16m
3rd season: £8m
4th season: £8m
Total: £48m
So Blackburn are stuck with the Venky's for four more seasons until all the parachute payments are used up
Betr the Venky's are already planning how to spend it on themselves and
not the club!!
hopefully barclays will take the payments to clear debts.
I have just realised Hoilett is a free agent this summer, Jesus Christ Newcastle snap him before other clubs get there hands on him
Good news for Ireland in the Euros, Puyol is out for the Euros. Now I know he's not the greatest defender in the world, Spain don't really have that great of defence at all. But with Puyol out, Pique is lost without Puyol, so maybe we have a good chance of getting something out of the Spain game

there is a big difference between your average backer walking away and a sugar daddy that pays extortionate wages. City & Chelsea are not remotely close to being profitable and the only way they are able to continue operating is because the sheik and Abramovich cover their huge debts.
a single season without the sheik and City would go bust

not sure how much left he has on his contract he wouldnt sign a new one.
Yakubu would be good for you as well an other option
I'm not sure if Blackburn would sell Yakubu, because he's your top scorer, but yes he would be a good player to get. Maybe an exchange Yakubu for Best and one of our promising young players on loan, maybe Vuckic

I don't think that Spain will need a defense against you.. They'll be too busy at the other end of the pitch.
Thats true, but Trapattoni probably has a master plan up his sleeve. Barcelona were in Chelsea's box for the majority of the two legs in the Champions League semi finals and look what happened to them, Chelsea won. I'm not saying its a certain we will win, but if we keep things tight and force them out wide, we will stand a good chance of getting something out of the game
