I have heard that we are interested in Debuchy, I have know that for a couple weeks. But, I would like Newcastle to make a bid for the Czech Republic right back Selassie, he is good at defending and going forward. Clubs like Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are interested in Debuchy, so we may get out muscled. Plus Selassie may work out as a better and cheaper buy for us
Ok this may not prove popular, especially for Scottish football fans, but I'm going to throw this idea out. But do people think of a Magners league style league consisting of clubs from Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales
In a few years time, I can see more and more clubs in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales suffering from financial difficulties. I can see it becoming more common in Scottish football in a few years time. One of the reasons for this is because clubs nowadays are struggling to stay afloat is because of poor attendances from people and also the quality of football is not great.
I certainly think it could improve football in these parts of the world, as it will offer something different and exciting to watch for fans of football and I also think more and more fans would be willing to attend matches. So what do ye think, is it a good or bad idea for football in this part of the world?
keep the leagues but Maybe have a football Equivilent of the heiniken cup add a few english sides maybe championship sides

It's a good idea in theory, however if you start thinking about the cost of travel then it won't be long until clubs will be bankrupt. Bangor VS Derry, or TNS vs Queen of the south would soon seen clubs going out of business altogether.
Revenue from attendances would falter and in my opinion it'd just become a bit of a mess.
I don't know a lot about the Irish, Northern Irish or Welsh leagues, but they all seem pretty secure because they haven't had $ky $ports's input so heavily.
The idea that the other leagues would want to combine with the Scottish league when it's so unstable seems unlikely to me.
I'm more in favour reviving the old Anglo Scottish cup Competition or maybe an end of season Home international style competition wherre the champions of England Scotland wales and Ireland compete to be called UK Soccer champions. What do you guys think?

Sure the English team would win all the time The teams would be just say Man City, Celtic, Bangor City and Shamrock Rovers. Now Man City are definitely the firm favourites there
I found Messi said something strange today. He thinks teams don't play for fun and to play good football and instead play to win matches.

Well, it may sound obvious, but isn't the whole point of professional football is getting results. I don't know may be its just me

just a matter of thought, just how much did it cost Chesea to repair the Trophy?
So, Blackburn landed Danny Murphy today on a two year deal? Not a bad bit of business on Steve Kean part I might say, Murphys good on the ball, he can score goals as well as create them, he's also good at takin free kicks & corner kicks too, wonder if Kean will make him captain when the new season starts?
Wonder who Martin Jol got lined up for a replacement? Not only have Fulham lost their captain & talisman, but a great footballer too
