athletico have won a few trophies in recent years why would costa want to leave them to go to a club that is not in europe and leave the third best team in spain to go to the 7th best team in england? oh yeah i forgot its cos of the great history liverpool have that he knows so much about right and was around to watch them win the premiership countless times, whoops i mean old first divison
Joey you just sound jelous liverpool are actually signing players while wenger feeds the fans bullshit, you bring up liverpools history more than anybody on here, why don't you speak about your own team or something?
You are talking some shit just lately, I think that you were decent guy but recently you just becoming annoying and like some internet troll.
nah mate nobody on here would care about my team as they are now a non league side we do have a good history but i don't bring it up or think we are still a bigger club than we actually are i won't be shy in admitting i cannot stand liverpool
yep im aware this should be moved to the banter thread
I wonder how much Messi's would go for? I think the team that Barcelona have (with Neymar in particular) is going to be force in Europe this season. I wonder how worried Big Phil will be if Neymar gets a kicking ahead of next year?
With the new season almost upon us, anyone got any thoughts on Match of the Day?
They had a big press release this week, supposedly giving the format a shake-up. As far as I can see, this shake-up basically involves giving Lawro much less air-time, and bringing some of the MOTD2 analysts onboard occasionally.
Alan 'smug as fuck' Hansen will still be leading the line alongside Alan 'I'll bore you to death if it kills me' Shearer. Of the three from last year, Lawro for me is the one I'd keep, he talks the most sense in the most viewer friendly way. Hansen was good a few years back, but he's become smug to the point of arrogance and just got too cosy in the seat, he feels his opinion is law and cannot be opposed. Shearer's monotone delivery drives me bonkers, he may be saying something really good, but I'm asleep before the sentence is over.
The one thing I do kinda look forward to (if they allow it to happen) is seeing Robbie Savage alongside Hansen, he at least may give him a run for his money if he has an opposing view.
All in all, a lacklustre line-up, more of the same, no real shake-up at all!
I hope Pat Nevin appears more often on Match of the Day because unlike Hansen and Shearer he gives insight into the game or doesn't state the obvious and use tedious football cliches.
Yh Porto play well, mangala and varela were very good and ghilas who scored their opening goal. Surprised how Napoli didn't offer much.
Loved it when drogba and higuain were warming up and we booed them and they just kept smiling
This tournament just highlighted the lack of depth in our squad, The subs apart from giroud and podolski the rest was just youth, yes we got rid of a lot of flops but still quite alarming how thin the squad is
So chelsea bid £30m for Rooney in another try to sign him now Rooney is suddenly out of their next game again with "shoulder injury"....
