not really. sure the 22man squad picks itself if all the main players stay fit. touch wood but apart from jack wiltshire not really been much injuries and no mention of the dreaded metatarsals so far
I have no problem with the F.A. talking to,and maybe appointing, Roy Hodgson as Manager but I do wonder if he is up to all the outside pressure (media pressure, interest for example) which comes with the England job.
I do have a problem though with the way it has been handled by the F.A. I speak as a Spurs fan and i cannot help but think that all the speculation about Harry Redknapp has derailed our season.
In other news, Jermaine Pennant has been a very silly boy again: charged with drink-driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. With his previous conviction, expect the book to be well and truly thrown at him: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/...ing-charge
I did consider posting this in Alice Goodwin's thread, but it's more a football story than an Elite one, so it goes here instead.
Alice Goodwin is going out with Pennant? amazing. will these women never learn? they must view it as a smash'n'grab operation - get as much out of it as they can before they're dumped/cheated on.

To be fair it's the media you should have a problem with really. I don't think anyone from the FA linked 'Arry with the job (I might be wrong though). Despite this the media 'assumed' that Redknapp will get the job, asking him about it at every opportunity. I think he even got asked at one point if he'll take Scholes to the Euros!
I like Hodgson personally, but the only problem I have is that several players have spoken out that they wanted Redknapp. For this reason, and him obviously having the backing of the media, is why I think 'Arry should've been given the job, other than that I'd prefer Woy
Oh and Torres' hat-trick > Suarez's hat-trick (my Nan could've scored Suarez's tap-ins!)

These dickhead footballers never learn. More money than sense I'm afraid.
