Looks like another player who is greedy for more money and who won't instead help our club progress to win something, he had everything he was playing regularly, was a captain a leader, the team mates looked up to him, the fans loved him.
What is he gonna do next push for a move to city where it is more than likely he will be on the bench half the games, Italy is not exactly the best league
Can't believe the decisions some of these lads make. He's captain of one of the best clubs in europe, adored by the fans, banging goals in left, right and centre, champions league, fantastic manager, earning a fortune.... Unreal.
It's not about the badge, the history, the prestige any more for most players. It's about the fuckin money. Plain and simple.
Well seen as how its looking likely he is leaving, how about Arsenal sell him for 30 million and get Higuain in exchange, as I think Real Madrid are intersted
Here's some of reasons Van Persie gives for wanting to leave

I agree with the top comment in the article. I know loyalty in football is not that important for players anymore, but Van Persie was injury prone for most of his time at Arsenal and Wenger stood by him. Just when I thought Arsenal look good next season, they get hit with this bombshell
i doubt wenger will buy another striker, i know he will never admit it but he knows deep down that he was preparing for rvp's departure with the giroud signing.
I just hope we dont sell to man city, if that happens that's it for me.
the only position wenger will buy now is a def mid player, good feeling it will be nzonzi as it was reported like 2 months back that we were leading the chase for him.
apparently robin said a while back how his kids were settled in their school, how his wife loved living in london so didnt those factors come into consideration?.
yh at times we are defensively vulnerable but i never thought robin would be a 'quitter' like that and refuse to help the club, he was injured in previous seasons so much times but did wenger suddenly give up on him?.
i know these stupid agents nowadays get in the ears and mind of footballers and dictate to them how they should ask for more money, seek a move just to benefit themselves. its quite sad really
doubt man city would bid for van persie get the feeling tevez and Balloteli will still be there when season starts
Arsenal need another striker, so that they have back up for Giroud, because isn't Chamakh also leaving or gone. If Arsenal get 25 - 30 million then Higuain or Falcao would be good options
Arsenal seem confident that RVP will at least honour the last year and be professional throughout, so I'm not sure they'll cash in unless they have the right man to replace him. They would say that though otherwise potential clubs will offer less money knowing he wants to leave.
As is the case in modern football, you don't win a medal for 4th, you do for winning cups.
i'm a wee bit gutted to be honest. we stood by him through his MANY injuries. one good season and he's off! fucker!
That's a fair point. He has spent most his Arsenal career injured. I think I heard he made about 19 appearances a season before this season. However in a game with little loyalty you can't blame him for wanting to go and win a trophy or two.
