It may be just a rumour, but how can Fleetwood afford to pay Barton's wages, they are only a League 2 club
Fl££twood aren't just any League 2 club... They're a M&S League 2 club
TIM cahill leaving Everton to join New York Red Bulls
Cahill has been excellent at Everton for so many years, and £1,000,000 seems very cheap. I don't get it ?
1 million seems quite a steal for the New York Red Bulls to be honest, its bit like the transfer with Kuyt leaving Liverpool for Fernebache for a low transfer. But I guess you have to take into account how years left in his contract and plus Cahill hasn't been playing well for a good while for Everton, but still a decent player in my opinion.
I don't know why so many players in their 30s go off to the MLS or China, maybe for money, but it feels like these players give up on themselves and think they can't do a job in another league in Europe such as Germany or France
The money mate and the lifestyle these lad's and their family's will have in places like New York, LA and other cities over there. America's by far my favourite place to go on holiday in the world, every city offers something different. Wouldn't mind moving there with millions in the bank like Cahill and the rest!
Two England midfielders won't be available for the start of the season.
Jack Wishere is still not recovered from injury and his expected return is now in October.
And Scott Parker may need surgery an Achilles tendon injury
I'm hearing Malaga, who are owned by Qatari owners are in a bad financial situation. There are reports they may sell some of their key players such as Cazorla to Arsenal for 20 million and Rondon to Tottenham for 20 million. If Malaga don't pay off their debts in time, they could be relegated. If they do get relegated, I wonder what happens to their Champions League qualifier place, does that mean the team they play get a free pass into the next round of the Champions League?

I don't know for sure, but I would assume that their place would go to the 5th-placed team in last season's La Liga, which was Atletico Madrid. It would make sense, just as Motherwell have replaced Rangers as the second Scottish representative.
As for Jack Wilshere, this injury that seemingly won't go away could have a serious effect on his whole career. I'm reminded of what happened to Man City's Paul Lake 20 years ago. He had a glittering future, and was touted as a future England captain, when he got a horrific knee injury, never truly recovered from it and had to give up the game at 24. Let's hope the same doesn't happen to Wilshere.

32 year olds don't have much value in the transfer market.
