Cheeky bugger referee Andre Mariner... added time had elapsed and he started adding "Fergie Time". The crowd started booing the minute it went past the informed 4 minutes... and it still wasn't enough for the Mancs anyway.
I'm guessing Fergie's glass of red wine won't taste so sweet tonight...

Cleverly was the only shining light for Man United in my opinion
I expect a strong response from Man United against Fulham next weekend
Now that I mention it there are a lot of good matches to look forward to next weekend

Its not how much money you spend that counts, its how you spend it
Although I don't understand how Man United could be tired, as its only the first game of the season
Fucking hell SB stop making excuses for Fergie
I bet the good Captain Vimes is enjoying some refreshments tonight
The knee jerk reactions continue
Has the curse of the new kit at Man Utd struck again?

I bet Eamon Holmes was thinking 'What the hell has Fergie done this time?' Bet Van persie will move on from Man Utd by the end of the season
It's funny, Liverpool lose a game, some sections are calling for Rodgers head and neutrals are saying "Crazy, it's only one game."
Van Persie plays less then 30 minutes on his debut for United and all the neutrals are claiming it's a poor signing.

That's a silly comment if ever I've seen one. Who else would pay van Persie's huge wage?

I will look forward to the newspaper comments next week
If Liverpool beat Man City 3-0, Rodgers will be hailed as the greatest manager ever and that Liverpool are definitely Premier league contenders
If Man United beat Fulham next week and Van Persie scores a hat trick. Van Persie will be regarded as the greatest Man United striker ever and will be the firm favourite for world player of the year
There will be so many knee jerk reactions that the leg will have snapped off
Give it time, we will all get a better idea of how well teams will do this season after 10 to 15 games and I suppose everyone can then give an assessment of how well certain players have done so far
