He's going to join ITV... He will replace Gareth Southgate who in turn is going to be the FA's technical director.
BT are also said to be interested in his services when they gain rights to the Barclays Premier League next season.

lee dixon goes in obscurity after joining itv. he has probably enough of having alan shearer and others being picked for the big games and motd main show. gianluca villia and klinsman should be offered contracts wit the bbc they were the best pundits at euro 2012, on itv it was roberto martinez. dixon is massive improvement on southgate, itv have to replace chiles, the commentray team then they would get the viewers that the bbc do when they go head to head at euro final and world cup finals.
ledley king has finally hung his boots up and taken an ambasador role at spurs. if he did not get that knee injury than he would have been in the england team ahead of jt.

Sad to hear Ledley kimng has quit. I think he deserved more England caps than he has got, and i felt he was far more solid at time than JT.

Have to agree with the point about ITV-One major weakness they have competing with the BBC are the advert breaks. Having Adrian Chiles spouting his banal comments only weakens their coverage even further. Worst of all the insufferable and over talkative Clive Tyldesley and Andy 'state the obvious' Townsend actually make football unwatchable with the sound on. BBC or Sky every time.
Adrian Chiles annoys the hell out of me, constantly repeating what he just said ... constantly repeating what he just said! He's the Foghorn Leghorn of commentary!!
Bad move for Dixon joining the ITV crew, although it'll be good to see the back of Gareth Southgate, why they gave him screen time is anyone's guess, and the fact the FA are giving him a job just goes to show how much of a 'boys club' they really are, he failed as a manager, and no-one has offered him another chance since, doesn't that tell you everything! Lee Dixon talks some sense, but I doubt he'll get the chance to say much competing with Chiles and with ITV's love of putting a couple guys on the touchline for half-time comments. "Look at us, we're on the touchline, the actual touchline, right on the pitch, it's like we're part of the game which makes our comments so much more relevant. So about the match, we'll tell you all after this ad break ..."
I too cannot watch ITV without hitting the mute button, thank heavens for digital radio which means I can usually find a far more bearable and sensible commentary to listen to while watching.
thats what i do have itv muted and 5live on over the net. the ad breaks on itv dont bother me much has it provides an opportunity to go get some food and drink without missing much. itv have matt smith and gary imlach (currently doing the tour de france on itv4) who are better presenters. itv have give chiles a job or two due their overpaid contract offered to chiles. move from bbc to itv after becoming a tv star is the death of your carreer. it justs shows that the bbc made chiles and bleakley look good when in fact they are rubbish.
juve, manure and man shity have tabled bids of £15m the euro 2012 missfiring rvp. adebabore is upset by spurs asking to him take a £3m per year pay paycut to join and is threatening to see out his contract at man shity. at spurs he will be a garunteed starter for every game he presents what is wrong with premier league football these days. rich guys who are too lazy to work for their money.
ITV need to get rid of Adrian Chiles and get someone like Bill O'Herilty on RTE, who is not afraid to ask the tough questions to the pundits

I fail to see the bad news in that article
pompey would follow rangers into liquidation if they cannot get rid of some of the 8 senior players left at the club without making some of the staff at the club redundant.
