Although I do think Rio ferdinand shouldn't be first choice from now on as Michael Dawson has shown for Tottenham & England he's become a top level defender, I also hope Jack Wilshire, Scott Parker, Ashley Young & Darren Bent stay in & we should by no means what so ever go back to 4-4-2 as all our players are more at home with 4-3-3.
fuck me i have been thanked by mitchell, i can now die in peace, farewell! anyway on charlies point it will be interesting to see if he goes back to gerrard and lampard playing together when both fit. i think he will but it will be good to see wilshere or whatever his name is and maybe parker and young as well staying in the team. i dont know where the fuck you get kid from mitch, must be a scouse thing. i kinda get the feeling im alot older than you, so i think i should be calling you kid, ok sweetheart!

thanx for clarifying that for me youth!
england scored 2 goals in 15 minutes then fuck all for 75 minutes. i hope they do better against ghana. if they they played like those 75 minutes against wales then i can see ghana beating england.
england football and cricket teams are bunch old boys club. the next england manager should not pick lampard, gerrard, coles, terry, ferdinand, johnson, rooney as they are all overrated at international level. i rather see 11 average players working as team rather than the current 11 work for themselves.
on the captaincy it should be someone like wilshere or a young player who could play for england for the next 15yrs and build the team around them.

if he dont pick any of those players, we will have some championship players playing for england! i do agree about wilshere i think the manager should build the team around him cos hes gonna be around for a while.
With all due respect to Wales, England just weren't tested on the day, and after the first fifteen minutes, it was a stroll. The two early goals just killed any hope the Welsh had of making a decent fight. It allowed England to control the game comfortably from then on.
On the Ghana friendly, I doubt there will be any more interest or quality from England. They've shown before in friendlies poor performances, as if they don't want to be there. Perhaps thats another reason why Capello should give many appearances to the younger players, a chance to experiment instead of just playing the same usual wasters.
why not championship players? look at blackpool, wolves, newcastle, west brom.
what makes lampard, gerrard, coles, terry, ferdinand, johnson, rooney so special that they deserve an automatic selection to the england squad regardless of form and fitness?

Exactly - as I said, I'm all for Capello trying something different instead of a bunch of guys who don't want to be there.
I've been a big supporter of us switching to 4-3-3 and it definitely worked yesterday, but as Regenerated said, an under strength Wales side didn't really challenge us (although they improved 2nd half). So although I'm pleased that it looks like we're gonna be using 4-3-3 more often now, no one can be convinced it's the right way to go until we use it more and against stronger opposition
But if we do switch permanantly, I'd suspect/hope Gerrard will take Lamps' place (leave him fresh for club footie
)
And as big a fan as I am of Parker, he and Stevie G are 30 now, so I would suggest mixing it up a little (Henderson, Huddlestone etc. off the top of my head) with Brazil 2014 in mind.
And I'm not totally convinced about Rooney on the left, nor Young and Bent at international level either
