Sorry to be the bearer of bad news all you Stoke fans but Mark Hughes has been officially unveiled as your new manager.
It,s gonna be a long hard season ahead.....
Looks like falcao deal is close with monaco, think a lot of it has to do with the tax haven policy in monaco which makes it very attractive for people to come live there let alone footballers

He will be great if stoke give him little or no money like rovers did. he got us some great bargains like benni mcarthy. Santa cruz and got the best out of david bently.
he got us to 2 FA cup semi's and europe in all but one of his seasons
Do Real Madrid really want to buy both Bale AND Suarez? They'll need some cheque book to afford them both!! They must be selling a ton of players.
From a purely neutral/entertainment point of view, wouldn't be a bad front 3 though would it (sorry liverpool and spurs fans) Ronaldo-Suarez-Bale!!!!

Id rather have Neymar - Messi - Iniesta
This is how monaco starting 11 will probably look.
Valdes
Alves Carvalho ??? Coentrao
Ocampos Moutinho Rodriguez
Hulk Falcao Tevez
Carvalho, Coentrao, Moutinho, Rodriguez, Falcao, Hulk, all have the same agent too Jorge Mendes who is basically putting all his players in one team where they pay no tax ect but the rest of ligue1 arent happy.

I knew about Valdes and Falcao, didn't know about Coentrao though!! It is getting a little silly now. If the are allowed in Champions League (which they will obviously qualify for) next year it will make a complete mockery of FFP.
I can't even begin to guess how many years it will take for them to legitimately just break even.

I know mate it is getting really out of hand now, the rest of the league 1 are saying they want monaco to pay them all 200mil each to even out the fact they pay no tax where as every other team do. Something needs to be done. Here is the owner

Unfortunately the trend for mega rich individuals/corporations to buy up football teams has crept into the game in the last ten or so years. While the fans of these clubs might be happy to see a team full of top stars in the short term, you have to worry that ultimately there will be little competition for domestic league honours throughout the European leagues.
If this trend does continue I can seriously see a European Super League coming to fruition, with only the elite teams allowed in. Who knows, perhaps that is the long term plan. What a souless creation that would be though the media would be jerking themselves off to get the rights to that
