i would love to see alessand del piero play in england but at 37 too old for the prem, been at juve for nearly 20yrs. he can teach the young strikers a thing or 2 like henry did at arsenal in his brief stay in Jan/Feb. i see him going to mls for one last big pay cheque.
liverpool fans think robbie fowler is god bet he cant do this, del piero wakes girl from coma http://www.insideworldsoccer.com/2012/02...ening.html
That was another of the supposed rovers targets last year

I think Del Piero retired from football
according the mirror steve "deluded nutcase" kean will keep his job and have ally paul agnew added to the board to back him. thats blackburn in league 1 for the 2013-14 season then. there will be no blackburn rovers in a few years with the current owners and manager still there.
New Blackburn kit unveiled for the new season...
I find it so staggering the reaction from a lot of non Chelsea fans over their Champions League triumph.
Claims they've brought another title, a team who've brought history, sold their soul, down to the money blah blah blah etc etc....
To me it is pure jealousy. They deserved the Champions League, they have been fantastic in Europe, coming back and beating Napoli was a huge achievement, then going on to defeat Benfica, THEN Barcelona and finally Bayern in their back yard.
Fair play to Chelsea, I'm sure no one in a blue shirt, player or fan gives a flying fuck about the bitterness shown towards them. It is out right jealousy.
Tottenham fans - You've only yourselves to blame, you had a massive lead in 3rd place, and if you'd actually shown some bottle and went for it you could have run United and City close in the league, but no you capitulated, folded then scraped a 4th place finish that quite frankly deserves nothing anyway. You won fuck all to qualify for the Champions League. 4th place isn't an acheivement, nor should it be a target for clubs. It's embarrassing.
Arsenal fans - Bitter because your "brand" of football isn't winning you things. Since you last won a trophy, Chelsea have won 3 league titles, F.A cups, Leagues cups and now the Champions League ! Your manager boasts of finishing in the top 4 every seasons since he's been there, yet never really go's for it in Europe.... Still there is always the kids next season
Chelsea deserve to be in the Champions League next season because they qualified the BEST way possible, by going out there and winning it. Fair play to them, enjoy it !
can i just say as an arsenal fan it's got nothing to do with them having bought another title, buying history, or selling their soul's etc it's purely because they're from london!
I'm not saying people should bury football rivalry just because an English team won something, I just find it remarkable how little credit some football fans seem to be giving Chelsea for what I see as a fantastic achievement.
