Torres body language went down hill when alonso left... and mascherano leaving it was the last straw. I think torres being gone the entire squad felt relief also with king kenny being in charge that helped. Suarez will be a big player for us next season im looking forward to seeing suarez in the same team with gerrard and carroll. hopefully kuyt will get some rest next season and play him in big games like UTD do with "park" as for maxi ... what a legend not even torres could have done that 2 hatricks in a space of a 2 weeks. Lets hope not too many changes to the squad just bring in players this summer who have heart, work rate and is willing to wear that shirt with pride! left back, 2 wingers and maybe 1 striker

Great news but it still doesn't change the fact we still need to buy the right style of players in the summer & I like the fact Kenny shot down the press talk of 'big' money being spent on 'big' players, as long as their the right players thats what matters.

Things are starting to look up for once but the biggest task is to get off to a consistent start to next season, if we do this then god knows what will happen???.... Speaking of 'god' does anyone know where Robbie is nowadays & I'll ask him

Came in from work to hear the news i've been wanting to hear for the last few months. Absolutely delighted. We've a very important Summer ahead of us now but i trust Kenny 100% in his judgement so i think he'll buy the right players for the football club. Exciting times ahead. Bring it on...........

As an Everton supporter, (boo hiss, suck it up red boys), I like Liverpool, there I said it, always played nice football, not quite School of Science but you can't have everything, lucky 19 titles and 5 European Cups*, all of them lucky, but tried to emulate our style and panache without quite getting there.

What I don't understand is this modern day enmity(sp?) and frankly hatred between Liverpool and Everton fans. Where did this come from?

Blah, blah, all our yesterdays, but I remember going to Maine Road in 1977 after the 2-2 all draw in the Cup Semi Final, I was One at the time, okay, Fourteen, and the atmosphere outside the ground was fantastic, you didn't feel in danger and this was when it was going off big style in the 70's.

I also remember losing the replay 3-0 and the atmosphere outside was just the same.

Where has the hatred come from? Outside of the city. Perhaps some of you younger guys can explain. Nice use of younger there, Captain.

* For all you dullards, yes, take this statement with a pinch of salt.
