I apologize for being aggressive in my post.
But I stand by my opinion that its not a good enough excuse to not compete in the Europa League.
Its cool mate, i respect your opinions like i do with everyone else
Lets see how much you know....

We don't need thursday night football against 2nd rate european teams. I'd rather we finish outside the top 5 (if we dont get 4th) and then that way we are fresh for every saturday/sunday of next season. You've only got to take a look at Newcastle this season to see how Europa has affected them
Teams like Athletico, Inter, Spurs, Chelsea, Porto, Braga, Benfica, Lyon, PSG, Ajax, Zenit all have been in the Europa league.. hardly 2nd rate.... Seeing as we have been knocked out by 3 of them...

sturridge has 4 goals.... if you take away the other 49 goals in the league then yea you might be right....

I thought that was Ashley Cole...

Were the third highest spenders since the Premier League began.. above Man United, and haven't Arsenal finished in the Champions league places for atleast the last 10 seasons despite spending less than Stoke and Fulham?......

Hes scored 5 goals this season, wouldn't fit into our system, doesn't track back, doesn't work as hard as he should, hense why he's always in the box...
And save the best til last.....

.....the difference being it's on sunday not saturday....... biggest load of rubbish iv'e heard... i'm not going to respect opinions coming from somebody like you... an armchair football "fan" who clearly actually knows very little...
well sunny, you just proved that you have no life ^
Also i go to 1 in every 3 Liverpool games home or away, so im definitely not an "armchair" fan. Im a loyal supporter, i bet you ain't even been to a game before. You're just a follower
Took about 5 minutes... and no, it proved that your full of rubbish.... and saying I have no life coming from somebody calling themselves "alwayswanking"....well.
And seeing as my mums from Garston.... iv'e been to Anfield lots of time's aswell as Estadio do Dragao and Urbano Caldeira....also a loyal supporter doesn't fucking hope a main rival finishes above them....

I don't use excuses for anything, shit goes the way it goes on this planet, luck & all that bollocks are just words, you won't hear it from me.
If we don't participate if that shite next season then in the later stages of the season when players naturally get tired, the youngsters can fit in without suffering a loss of form due to the amount of games already played, i.e. Raheem Sterling.
As has been stated an opinion is an opinion, you've got yours & I've got mine. The Europe thingy tournament offers fuckall money & on a day when we've been told of big losses, yeah Ian Ayre has explained the situation of various payments at certain time etc. etc.
The European Cup is where the great stuff happens, don't tell me you've not thought that Suarez & so on won't want to leave if we don't get top 4 next season as I believe he will. Yeah there's decent teams in it but my view is its shit since the group stage has come into it, ok it benefits the smaller teams with extra revenue but it also takes the shine off it as far as I'm concerned.
If you’re in the Champions league the players will naturally try that little bit harder in certain games in the league, as silly as it sound, without knowing for a fact, which you don't either before you start saying they DO try their hardest in every game. When you're 1-3 down at home to Villa & 9 points behind 5th you know it's not going to happen so the desire is lacking. Yet if you've just won 1-0 away in say Deportivo without your captain like we did when we won it then are 1-2 down to Villa the memories of Wednesday are still fresh & the desire to be there next season won't let any player slack off.
The amount of players you often put it your lineups will never happen without Champions League qualification, I'm not trawling the pages to quote all the players you've spoke of but David Villa & co are a pipe dream without top European revenue, so sorry lad but you or no one can really argue that.
Do yourself a favour & don't tell me I know nothing about football as that would be very laughable.
Stop your bitching before the thread gets shut!!!

Even for a guy like me that is a strong defender of the Europa League would agree that having a group stage is not a great idea. I would prefer two legged ties from start to finish, but I don't think that would happen because the smaller teams like the group stage because it generates vital revenue for them.
There were talks a few months ago with UEFA maybe in a few years time making the champs league a 64 team tournament. I for one hope that don't happen because then the qualification from PL would probably be the top 8, which in that few years time could easily be the likes of Swansea, West Ham, Stoke, Norwich etc playing in Champions League lol. Also another reason is that i don't want to be a liverpool fan who says "i'll accept 6th because we can get champs league" 6th ain't good enough

No the proposal said the top 6 from England (assuming that England remain one of UEFA's top 3 countries).
