If their league is weaker than shouldn't they be higher up in the table ? As for the trophy it was the German Community Shield , a pretty meaningless one , and again while disappointing , many fans would take going out of Europe early if we got fourth which we'll get once we sort ourselves out .
We don't just get 4th because we are called "Liverpool" that's what annoys me about fans like you. you seem to think we have a given right for 4th place because of past glories..
And you saying most fans would rather go out of Europe to finish 4th again? Pathetic.. whats the point of finishing 4th if we are going to then take the CL as a joke like Rodgers has done... You get in the CL to try and win it, not play reserve teams as if it doesn't matter..

We put a full squad at home against Real and what was the score??? So what would of happened "if" Breden put a full squad out away, against Real???
IMO we still would of lost to one of the best teams in Europe! So I can understand his thinking ahead of the next games!
And we lost the chelsea game too... so he might aswell have just played our strongest team...

Heard an interesting stat today...
Of the 100-or-so goals that Liverpool scored last year, 50 were scored by Suarez and Sturridge. A further 10 were scored by Gerrard from the penalty spot. The next highest scorer was "own goal" (8).
Players that are currently available for selection scored less than 30% of last year's goal total.
I'll leave the interpretation of that to people who care more about Liverpool than I do. I just thought it was an interesting stat.
