In fact it's nothing to do with money. Sterling has repeatedly said that he doesn't want to play for Liverpool, no matter how much money was offered. He wants to play in the Champions League, that's the issue for him.
^if he said that he's full of shit and a liar!
What did you think he was going say " i,m a greedy twat and being offered a 100 grand a week is the equivalent of modern day slavery " he was always going to deny it was about money, the champions league is just an excuse to justify his disgraceful behaviour.

No, everyone who thinks he's a top player wants to play in the Champions League these days. It means more to players than the world cup, so Sterling wouldn't have signed another contract at Liverpool no matter what they offered. As Sterling's agent said "he’s not signing for £100,000 a week or even £900,000 a week".
We are not talking about a player coming to the end of his career looking for one last shot at the big time, sterling is a young player just starting out on his footballing career, he could of given it at least a couple more seasons at liverpool and then moved to another club if he really thought that was his only option. Liverpool are not some piss ant minor league team, they are a major club with a big and loyal fan base, if he had stayed he could have ended up being idolised like Gerrard instead he took the money and run.
And of course he would,nt have stayed for £900,000 a week, we know that must be true, his agent said so.
Never underestimate the importance of the Champions League. It means everything now. Chelsea wouldn't have been able to sign Eden Hazard if we hadn't been in the Champions League that season (and we only just made it).
This news has made my Sunday, been waiting to get shot of sterling all summer. Have fun whilst it lasts sterling, you'll soon be on loan at Aston Villa
Your better off without him and am saying that as Spurs fan, you want players loyal and committed to the club, players that sweat and bleed for the club and for the fans.

I doubt you could make up a squad in the whole of the Premiership displaying those qualities. He is just a young lad who has had his head turned through bad advice from yet another unscrupulous agent. Good business from Liverpool in pocketing £40 million from their original £500,000 outlay while QPR laugh all the way to the bank with their £9 million payout. Its just peanuts to the oil magnates who finance City.

villa wouldn't want him.... as bad as we can be some matches, the squad work as a unit; win together, lose together; and sterling is a prima donna.
