The only way I would let Pepe go , if I was in charge that is , would be if he said he wanted to join Barcelona , like how Alonso wanted to join Real as that was his team growing up. As for a replacement I'd at least try the keepers we've got already first especially Brad Jones as he's played well when picked .
Some sad news today with the passing of former Liverpool winger Jimmy Payne at the age of 86.
He made his debut in September 1948 and spent 8 years at Anfield and was the last surviving member of the first Liverpool team to play at Wembley.
Scoring 43 goals in 243 appearances his was fondly known as 'Mersyside Matthews' after England winger Sir Stanley Matthews.
Our thoughts & prayers go out to his family at this sad time.
Great young player, hopefully now they can get his work permit sorted
What a pile of shit that was, rodgers seriously confuses me at times, 4 attackers on the pitch, joe allen in midfield, who again was piss poor, and leaves carragher on the bench... Stunned

i know wenger has made some horrendous signings but for liverpool to splash 15 mill on allen is astonishing, allen is just a good passer but thats about it as anyone can knock him over and he cant perform on the big games. could have signed diame on a free and he would have no doubt done a better job
Im the eternal optimist (thats code for delusional), but Im hoping that this result ensures a better performance midweek against Arsenal, which is a far more important game.
Allen will drop back out for Lucas and Stevie will start again and Agger should come back in too, so we should see a much improved performance on Wednesday night!
