Just watching a compilation of 100 great Liverpool goals of the decade on youtube. Which scoring partnership would say is the best Liverpool had over the decade? for me it has tor be SAS (Suarez & Sturridge).
Whatever team Klopp puts out today has to be one that plays the way the team has always been playing this season and get the result.
Gerrard/Torres partnership was good too.
Shame Fowler/Owen never got a real chance.
I think you're forgetting the greatest Liverpool partnership of all time.
El-Hadji Diouf and Emile Heskey.
What a pair of fantastic strikers, terrifying
It sounds like Liverpool should make short work of Shrewsbury Town BUT a caveat to that would be Havant & Waterlooville-if you remember that game, where they scored 3 before Liverpool were saved blushes by the likes of Gerrard and we ended up winning 5-3, so I don't think we should take Shrewsbury Town for granted but I am hopeful we can win that fairly comfortably and then West Ham Wednesday and Southampton at Anfield Saturday, another mad week of games.
Liverpool team to play Shrewsbury Town
Adrian
Williams, Matip, Lovren, Larouci
Chirivella, Fabinho, Jones
Elliott, Origi, Minamino
Strong bench with Firmino, Salah, Ox and Keita making a return too, he will probably get some minutes towards the end.
Pretty good line up there Stemmw a mix of young and old and considering the fantastic goal that Jones scored against Everton in the 3rd round, I am not surprised to see him in the squad. It is a shame that Brewster has been loaned out because I would liked to see him start a full game for Liverpool. Just have to wait until he eventually returns.
Early goal, Jones with a nice finish from a lovely through ball by Chirivella
Martin Keown IS Ron Manager
(isn't he?) Pierre definitely hand balled that in the box but with no VAR nothing was done.
I can see what Liverpool are doing, once they scored they wanted to control it and hold that line but Shrewsbury playing the long ball game and Fabinho just doesn't look that good, I would have preferred to see the Ox in midfield but hopefully the second half will yield more goals for the Pool - isn't it? you know! Marvellous!
Yeah Fabinho looks well off the pace, too many mistakes from him letting Shrewsbury build their confidence, need to just pass it around second half and stop being so sloppy in the ball.
