Several outlets are reporting that Mahrez is to undergo a medical with a fee of around £50m, Sky Sports reporting that Liverpool are not interested
I completely agree with Jamie Carragher's comments when he said "he hoped the money would from the sale of Coutinho would be better spent than the money from the Suarez sale" & also Phil Thompson's comments about "you can only replace quality with quality & not with a potentially quality player who might come good in a few seasons".Personally I think Liverpool should have bought Coutinho's replacement in before selling Coutinho as now with any player Liverpool will be interested in will have a even bigger price tag as any club know Liverpool have big money to spend.
Mahrez is a player I've always liked & despite him clamouring for a move elsewhere for the past few seasons his work-rate has never dropped at Leicester & he still continues to knock his pipe out for them (& doesn't refuse to play in certain games complaining that his head isn't right).Mahrez I feel is a realistic option who would pretty much be a like-for-like replacement for Countinho who's stats according Sky Sports are only slightly inferior to Coutinho's in terms of assists, shots, goals etc.
In my humble opinion though I would like Klopp to raid his old Dortmund for Aubameyang (who has been itching for a move elsewhere) with him taking the main Striker position at Liverpool & I'd get Bobby Firminho to take Coutinho's position as the Attacking Midfielder/playing off the Striker position.Despite his goals I've never been convinced Firminho is an out & out striker.Besides Klopp was the manager that discovered a very raw young Aubameyang & they do get on well.
I reckon Emre Can will be another player on the way out with Juventus looking to take him on a free but I quite like Schalke youngster Leon Goretzka (who is out of contract at the end of the season) & Klopp has been eyeing him up as Can's potential replacement,Naby Keita looks a very good addition who'll join in the summer.
I was really impressed with Virgil's debut against Everton in which he showed clear leadership at the back that frankly hasn't been there since Carragher retired (shouting instructions/orders) but what it also showed that Liverpool will have look in the market for a better keeper as Karius or Mignolet don't cut it.
Number One priority for Liverpool in my opinion is to sign Jan Oblak, after Neuer and De Gea he is probably the best keeper going and since Liverpool have no chance of signing either of those two they should go for him
I always think Mignolet is probably the most nervous keeper in PL
Nope...do not like at all.

Gutted for Ox. Was a bit pissed off last night at conceding 2 late goals but am more than optimistic that Liverpool will score in Rome. No way will that defence of theirs keep Salah, Firmino and Mane out.
Oh and those Roma thugs who put that Liverpool fan in hospital are utter cunts. Hope they spend the next few years in Walton. Bastards
I hope Liverpool give it everything to stop that smarmy git Ronaldo winning
