Delighted about meireles being signed thought he was solid in the world cup but then again so was el hadj diouf in 2002 and look what happened then. Still though Reina, Johnson, Agger, Carragher, Konchesky. Gerrard, Meireles, Kuyt, Cole with torres and ngog or babel up front (this needs sortin though i much prefer babel) is not bad at all thats what i'd pick in anyway. Plus not half as much choppin and changin and an end to that zonal markin bullshit. Feel a bit encouraged for the season ahead in anyway.

Miereles should not be compared to diouf. As well as being solid in the world cup, he has been one of Porto's best players for the last few, and is a quality footballer. We have a very strong line-up now and as well as that some good substitutes. I think that we will have a very good season.

No but i saw a bit on LFC channel, his pen was shady i doubt he'd get away with that in the league, from what i saw there was a decent crowd about 40,000 albeit a little quiet, not sure about takin a pen for them though i thought Owen would've done that
That's Carra though lol Always wanted to score against us as a kid..Now he has
Was good to see some old faces back at Anfield.
Fair play to Michael for coming back..united fans will probs never forgive him.
Weve got the best young player in England in Raheem Sterling btw..Wait till that lad grows up a bit
Was good to see Luis Garcia back at Anfield for a day
Don't think UTD fans will like this image.
It was great to see some of the players from the past and some of the kids for the future. We have some talent that will finally make it in the first team. About bloody time too.

I think every
Liverpool fan is hopeing the youngsters will be given a chance. I'm not gonna hold my breath though,
Martin Kelly has done well at left back & can play all 4 defensive positions but we still signed & re-signed Konchesky & Aurelio, to be honest i wouldn't mind seeing Kelly become first choice right back & Johnson playing where Kuyt plays in the 2-3-1 system or on the right wing of 4-4-2 like Gareth Bale at Tottenham.
As long he doesn't end up being sold then going on to be a good player elsewhere like Jack Hobbs, that fucked me right off when Rafa sold him, especially when he payed £1.7m for Jonjo Shelvey who he probably had no intention of playing.
