Liverpool fans still seem to think they are one of, if not the biggest club in the world, but even Spurs and Westham have bigger stadiums than you nowBounce

Liverpool fans on talksport are cracking me up right nowBounce

It's not about the size of thr stadium, or the fanbase. It's about how PASSIONATE fans are for their teams and how passionate the players are on the pitch, giving it everything thy have got and the desire to win and Liverpool have got that in spades and they for me been putting the shifts in week in week out. The result is one probably many Liverpool fans never saw coming but Barcelona are going to take some stopping and if Ajax get through against Spurs they will get taken apart simple as that. I think anything is possible next week all they have to remember is how they took Dortmund apart that apply that same performance to the home leg and see what happens. i would love Liverpool to smash Newcastle and hope someone upstairs can put some sort of Indian sign over City next Monday. I think the PL chiefs are too bloody scared to rein in City over their spending but are more than bloody happy to pull in lesser clubs. I just can't stand City winning the title. There may be city fans on here who think their team is the best in the world, but to a lot of us you're just buying their way to the title because you have the bloody bucks to do so, and how far did you get in the CL the last two years? when you actually win the bloody thing, when you win the Club World cup then you can say you're the best in the world. and as for Suarez, I hope Salah gives him a bloody big head - butt at Anfield. the dirty fucker should have been kicked out of football after the 2014 world cup and never to be seen on a soccer pitch in Europe ever again.

Salah was wasted at Chelsea and now flourishing at Liverpool. Look how much Man Utd paid for their new players plus an Arsenal reject and how they've paid them back in kind-and they want to pay over the odds for the likes of Gareth Bale! Yes we paid silly money but in the end they've more than paid it back. What worries me is losing Salah, Mané etc maybe in a few years time, but by then hopefully we will be able to attract some good players again to Liverpool.
Exactly mate. Pogba wants away from United again and just think of the bloody financial hit United are going to have to take to get rid of him Bounce Bounce!! Me thinks United will have big trouble getting rid of him and getting anything like the £98m they paid for him back
United and City between them have probably spent way more than Liverpool have between them but Liverpool know who'll they'll probably want to offload or who to target this summer and spend wisely. Chelski can sell but can't buy, Tottenham probably won't spend a lot again, as they got that new stadium to pay for. Norwich might spend a bit but probably not enough to help them cause a dent in PL next season.

Where would you be now if you had the budgets that the likes of Spurs and Newcastle have? they have similar sized fanbases to you, you've won 2 trophies in 13 years, that's one more trophy than Spurs. Wigan, Birmingham and Portsmouth have won

Big big difference with what we’ve spent and what City and Chelski have in the past. There’s have come from nowhere, ours from selling players primarily and not just the top ones. Also champions league money, top four PL money. Yeah we bought VVD for 75m and Alisson for 60m but it was covered mainly from the Coutinho sell.

Taking into account all of that we’re nowhere near in the same boat as City or what Chelsea were. Yeah we’ve spent more than Tottenham and Newcastle but TBH so have Bournemouth and countless others. City may not have spent 75 or 60m on a player but they bought 3 fullbacks and Goalkeeper for something like 150 odd m the summer before last but that’s fine as it’s only 50odd for each roughly....am I right??bladewave

Football is mad, no player is worth the money that’s paid but so by your logic we can’t spend that sort money and still be a real club even though ours didn’t come from a dodgy Russian or a mega rich sheikh but those clubs can and it’s perfectly fine for them to do soo??......Huh

At least the likes of Man City, United and Chelsea have won the prem though, you haven't even though you've spent loads of money aswell, the reason City and Chelsea didn't sell their best players to the likes of Barca and Madrid is cos they were winning trophies, of course they were on massive wages aswell, but they could have got just as much or even more money at Barca and Real

Loads of clubs sell their best players for big money, but they still can't afford to go out and buy players for silly money like you can, did Monaco spend £40 million on a player when they sold Fabinho to you, did Southampton spend £100 million on new players when they sold half their team to you and a few other players to other clubs?
All Chelsea and City to me are, massive egos to match their massive wages and shit managers.
IMO Klopp for me, probably has the best man management skills in the PL. when was the last tIme you saw Sarri show a bit of man management like Klopp does?

That said though, Klopp made some bad selections tonight, Wijnaldum put in the kind of performance I was afraid he would put in, albeit in an unfamiliar role, and putting Gomez in ahead of Trent was a big mistake.

Oh and Suarez can fuck right off. He deserves dog’s abuse in the second leg. Shithouse rat.

Hope Suarez gets the shit he deserves next Tuesday, bet plenty are saving up their dog shit for him.

Mate, respectfully.....and with the most sincerity....piss off. Last time I checked having a bigger stadium didn’t actually make anyone a bigger club then anyone else....bladewave

Best of luck in championship next season, I have a feeling you may need it. Oh and enjoy a boring procession Premier League season next year, I mean who likes title races when a non plastic non sheikh backed club could win it??....bladewave

Last time i checked this is a forum not a Liverpool fan site, you seem to have a pop at fanboys on here when they defend their favourite babeshow girls, so don't be a hypocrite now that i have criticised your beloved overrated club, are you even from Liverpool btw? how about supporting your local club, so many people from my area support Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd, its fine when you are like 10, not when you are grown men

Not saying it was. But your BS reason was and is BS. I’ve never had a pop at anyone defending a babe, if anything I’ve done it.

Whether I’m from Liverpool or not is irrelevant, I’ve supported them for over 25 years. I know everything about them, which many of the people who support the likes of City, Chelsea and Utd don’t.

So just so I’m correct you can only spend money if you win things and if you don’t win things then it’s a disgrace???bladewave Yes I know full well why those clubs didn’t sell there players, but even when they didn’t win they still bought players.

The reason Southampton and others can’t afford to spend what they sell is because they don’t have the fan base and sponsorships which are bought into the club when your the sizes of Liverpool. A lot run off the PL money and transfer sells. We’ve spent a lot no doubt but if anyone thinks for one second it’s comparable with City or Chelsea spending then jog on.
My brother in law used to call Suarez(in his biting days) the poisoned chipmunk Big Grin it is going to take more than faith and crossed fingers in the second leg to get to the final. I think we have to be realistic, it's just not going to happen, but as Regenerated said anything can happen. I'd like to concentrate more on the title race, but again it all depends on Leicester City beating or drawing with Man City and Liverpool continuing their terrific run by beating Newcastle Utd AND Wolves, two clubs not renowned for rolling over easily. It's going to be a tense weekend and the following week 2nd Leg of CL back at Anfield. Incidentally I'm not from Liverpool either (Norf Lunnun mate) but supported Liverpool since 1977 and my fav player was Kevin Keegan and I even had an ordinary red shirt with a number 7 on the back.
Half of Liverpool's fanbase are glory hunting southerners just like Man Utd and Chelsea fans are, only difference is they have have won more in the past 2 decades than Liverpool, i really don't know how you still call yourself a huge club, my team Luton won the league cup in 1988, just two years before Liverpool's last league title win, im 33 and im not old enough to remember it

Fair enough you still compete at the top end of the prem league, but so do Spurs and people call them a much smaller club, even though they have a bigger stadium than you now, most fans think their club is bigger than they think, even my own team fans wear rose tinted specs at times

We're still a huge club regardless of when are last title win was. Still the second most successful in terms of league titles in England, most successful English team in European competition etc etc. But we're a small club now because its been nearly 30 years between titles...bladewave

There is a big difference between the money that City and Chelsea spend compared to the money that Liverpool and United spend.

Liverpool and United are rich because they are successful, City and Chelsea are successful because they are rich

IMO opinion mate a team is judged by it's fan base with the performances on the pitch and the size of their stadium has NOTHING to do with their HOW SUCCESSFUL They are!! So stop trying to re - live past glories through you rose tinted specs and appreciate the fact that Liverpool have been absolutely superb this season and not let City get their own way with the PL title.
