moving on from the handshake crap, liverpool were fantastic today against brighton, andy carrol played really well and got man of the match. jordan henderson was very poor in my eyes but hey wembley next week bring it on!!
Suarez story still in full flow - a letter from equality campaigners now accuses Liverpool of damaging the country's race relations. The letter, displayed on the National Black Police Association (NBPA) website, reads:
"LFC actions, in vehemently rejecting the findings of the FA inquiry, their public displays of support for a player found guilty of racist abuse and his subsequent refusal to shake the hand of Evra at a recent game is completely unacceptable. These actions we believe could be considered as inciting racial intolerance. Whilst the subsequent apologies for the failure to engage with the traditions of a pre-game handshake are to be welcomed, there remains deep concern about LFC's absolute refusal to accept the findings of the FA's investigation. As such these apologies fail to meet the test of genuine remorse and understanding. This is further negated by LFC's failure to apologise for racism either through the club or Suarez. Neither have LFC recognised or acknowledged the consequent damage to race relations resulting from their actions and recognised by many people of all races across the country. As a result efforts to combat racism in football and the wider society in general have been critically undermined."
The open letter is signed by members of the Liverpool Black Leadership Forum, Merseyside TUC, North West United Against Facism, the Society of Black Lawyers and the NBPA, among others.
Gloria Hyatt MBE, of the Liverpool Black Leadership Forum, added: "Liverpool FC has presided over the worst incident of racism in football seen in recent years. Their misguided handling of Suárez/Evra has let down all of those in the city who worked hard to challenge racism and make Liverpool a better place to live for everyone."
Lee Jasper, a human rights and race equality campaigner, said: "The club need to realise the enormous damage caused by their reluctance and obdurate behaviour. Kenny Dalglish used to manage Celtic; he ought to know the importance of stamping out bigotry. The club failed the city, the nation as a whole and in particular Britain's black communities. Their abysmal lack of leadership on this issue has given a green light to racism."
Dude just lets it go we don't need to know who all the woodworms are who do the same whenever a situation regarding the breaking of their beliefs arises. No one at Liverpool Football club has killed a teenager of Afro-Caribbean descent at a bus stop in the streets so calm down or take the dragging of your heels to the Football Banter thread, (It's not just for banter but also general football talk/discussion).
Yeah coz I'm sure you'd "just let it go" if it was another club, just because it's your club on the end of the criticism you feel we should just let it go, youve twice brought up its not like we've killed anyone scenario which that maybe but it's way over the top. The fact is racism is a serious issue and as much as you wish it would just go even a with an insincere apology which was clearly forced by the ppl that fund your club it ain't going to just go away.

First of all suarez was punished for ALLEGED racial abuse of evra and why are people still going on about the non handshake and the apology its done and dusted it happened like weeks ago so just drop it liverpool fans here have all moved on so should you, lets talk football again!
Liverpool FC and all it's fans have a cup final to concentrate on this weekend where hopefully we win our first silverware in 6 years....Quite important and very significant for us. You'll excuse me if i dont give a flying f**k about anything the woodworms and the knockers on here constantly have to say about this Luis Suarez thing. If they wanna drag it on and on and on then so be it....
