Like you said 3-4 players with the right mentality and experience are needed, wether or not rodgers sees this and reslises we arent going to improve anytime soon, he's spent a lot now and needs to buy experience not more young kids.
The way Gerrard's been asked to play now a days we need to start looking for a replacement, by that I mean his constant drives forward with the ball aren't what they were, as much as Wesley Sneijder would have been perfect & of the right experience the money wage wise would have been crazy.
I've always liked Mathieu Valbuena from Marseille whenever I've seen him play, I also think he'd be the right type of player to replace Stewart Downing should we sell him. He's been linked with Newcastle & Arsenal this year & would cost around £10-£15m, I think he'd have a similar impact to Santi Cazorla. Marek Hamšík from Napoli would be a good buy but he'd probably be too pricey at around £16m+.
Maybe we should just ask big Jan or Gary Mac to dust off their boots.
I still think we're lucky to still have Johnson, he's still englands 1st choice leftback. He's developed a better defensive mind, so i'm happy that we still have this guy, but also suprised.

It's natural that Stevie can't go box to box for 90 mins these days, Father time. But he drives the team forward with the tempo of his passing and his bursts forward to this day. He's still the best around at it for me. Is and will be the first name on every Liverpool team sheet until he hangs up his boots.
He'll add at least two new defenders in the summer Rogers, think that's a cert. Needs to bring in one or two that can get goals from midfield as well. 10-15 a season.
Would love Alonso to come back.
I like the lad Soldado, Gaston Ramirez, Tom Ince, Isco. All would add goals to the side.
Think all of them will leave their clubs in the summer...
yea not to sure why i said leftback
Valdez
Johnson Sakho Agger Pereira
Khedira Lucas
Isco Suarez Coutinho
Sturridge
That would be a great improvement on our team if we use the money wisely from Carroll, Downing, and a few others
I hope Victor Valdez never signs for us, just because he plays for Barca doesn't mean he's the best we can get. I'm not saying he's poor but he doesn't get much of a challenge when playing league games, box wise, he'd flap at too many crosses early on & would probably struggle with the hustle & bustle of the Premier League.
Valdez still has 18 month left so could change his mind but it's not guaranteed Pepe will be Barca's main target as they're also looking at Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea) & Vicente Guaita (Valencia) along with 2-3 other Primera Division keepers.
There's nothing wrong with Lucas & Sami Khedira won't be leaving Real anytime soon unless they have a serious change of heart, he plays most games.
I think its a cert we'll be back in for Tom Ince but he woun't come cheap, especially amongst the goals he also English. I don't feel we need a centre back, just give Martin Kelly & Andre Wisdom the chance, starting in the cup games & the odd home game, it's their natural position so they won't take long to settle & I'm sure knowing it will be their long term position they've been learning from Carra & co.

You've left the best player in our history out of your 11.
2012/2013 Premier League
26 Games - 6 Goals - 9 Assists (League Best)

Agree about playing them both in League Cup and bringing them through at centre back. Could be a quality pairing for the future but I'm convinced he'll buy a new centre half and left back. Absolutely convinced.
