I would say Liverpool did the best thing to tie Trent & Virgil to new deals. I think Klopp sees their roles at Liverpool vital especially after Virgil being out for almost much of last sesaon with his injury and as Klopp it was better to do that rather than spend 'Money we haven't got'
I do hope the return of Virgil puts a different perspective on Liverpool's title chances this season.
Thoughts?
Liverpool have 3 sets of players - the stars, the backups who are not good enough and the injury prone.
If the stars stay fit, with the Anfield crowd back and Klopp factor, they always got a chance to win the title.
If any injuries then top 4 is the best hope.
Poor transfer window from the owners again, funny that they're trying to sell "quiet summer this year but huge one next summer"
Liverpool 1-0 up V AC Milan
Trent Alexander Arnold after 9 mins
Well that was a hell of a 1st half, Liverpool the favourites going forward but Milan are up for it

Jürgen Klopp being interviewed after yesterday's game by someone with a Brummie accent
Liverpool have gone from buying no-one to signing Diaz and putting in a bid for Fabio Carvalho.
Closing in on City fast, and have scored more goals after 26 Premier League games (70) than in the whole of last season (68).

Yeah, Diaz was meant to be next season but Spurs bid for him and forced Liverpool's hand (and probably upped his fee in the process). Carvalho is out of contract at the end of the season, so slightly weird one, that.
Salah is supposed to have signed a new contract with Liverpool at £400,000 a week.
