What the fuck happened?! Our season seems to be 2steps forward, 1step back
I know we are still developing as a team and a work in progress and I know Westbrom are a much improved team under Clarke but two defeats by them in the league is very, very poor
Yes they parked the bus and hit us on the counter-attack but we had the most possession and shots on goal!!! which in the end counted for nothing
And none of that "we played very well...." crap from Brendan because thats getting very annoying
Total embarassment tonight, these Liverpool players really don't help themselves. It actually hurts at times to be a Liverpool fan because we're just shambolic. Admittedly if we had sturridge then the game wouldve been different
Why did we bother bringing borini on for shelvey? I thought shelvey was doing alright. The only stand out perfomer tonight was Lucas, he was brilliant.
Finally... Why didn't suarez take the pen? I just don't trust gerrard with penalties anymore.

I am really sick of Brendan saying after every game we loose and waste chance after chance snd make countless errors "i can't fault the players" or "we were terrific" im starting to think he is way out of his depth, tactically he is Unless, until brendan and fsg wake up and realise you cant win things with potential talent and get some experienced top players in we are going nowhere.
Does he not realise fans are not buying his nonsense anymore...
Lol i said it months ago. The geezer is out of his depth. He's always trying to take positives out of games when there simply are no positives. He does this to cover his own back. Sometimes you've just gotta stand up and say "We were shit, my tactics and squad selection were completely wrong". But he'll never do this because he has to keep hold of his "tactical genius" tag.

No Sturridge in the team and there seemed to be something lacking as a result. Maybe they needed to bring in two strikers this transfer window not just one, one to play, and one as cover.
Still, the team is
still a work in progress, this season was pretty much ruined by the farce of the summer transfers, a Europa League place was realistically the best target, and they are still in the mix for that. A few additions to strengthen the squad this summer, and things could look very different come next season.

Last night we had 23 shots on goal. 14 on target with 60% of the ball. We had enough chances to win a few games. West Brom didn't have a shot until the 81st minute when they scored from a corner. We weren't great but we dominated the full game and couldn't score. The most frustrating game of the season for me. On another night Shelvey's goal would have stood, Borini would've knocked in that rebound and Gerrard would've tucked his pen away. It just wasn't to be.
We should've had 6 points from the previous two games against Arsenal and Man City. We kept 5 clean sheets out of 6 at Anfield before last night scoring 16 goals. This season was always destined to pan out like this. We've looked fantastic at times, destroyed teams and went on good runs. We've also thrown in a handfull of howlers, defended poorly and failed to put teams away through piss poor finishing. That's why we're lying 9th and 12 points off 4th. Inconsistency.
Dalglish should never have been sacked. Two cup finals and 7th in his first full season back in charge was a solid platform to build on and he should've been allowed to do it. They've brought Brendan in and for me, he's the right man to get us challenging at the top end again.
It's frustrating and me saying we're improving when we're 9th in the table sounds daft but i've not missed a game this season and i've seen us play some super stuff at times. Some of the best i've seen in 20 years going football. The manager's building foundations, building the squad. We can't keep hiring and firing every other year. We've got a cracking young coach in Rodgers, he'll build a squad capable of winning the league and challenging for the next 10/15 years if he's given time to do his job.
Im not basing my comment on just last nights game, i have seen every game this season also, last night we did have 23 shots at goal but amongst that was also some very very sloppy errors and needless mistakes, the fact we still havent beaten a team in the top half of the table says it all, i agree we have played some great football this season but more often than not we completely mess it up with stupid ridiculous errors, we can't defend corners, we haven't got any strength in midfield apart from gerrard and get bullied off the ball, it's obvious, oldham bullied us, stoke, villa, any team with a bit of strength we have no answer, the money that rodgers has paid for borini and allen is not justified, i fail to see what they offer, borini looks out of his depth and allen looks like a little kid with no self belief, me and you could do what allen does, swansea look a far far better team without him, they spend a fraction of what we have and bought in michu, pablo hernandez, both for less than we paid for allen and both offer a lot lot more, then the 10 million on borini..... Our squad just isn't good enough.... Under rodgers we take 1 step forwards 2 steps back, im not expecting miracles from him, I'm just starting to realise he's not a "tactical genious" after all, martinez did all the work for him at swansea before he took over, before that all he has done is get sacked from 2 championship clubs. Many times this season his tactics have been wrong, he plays players out of positions far to often and leaves players on the bench who are natural to that position, wrong formations ect, i just can't see him taking us any further... If he does fair enough, i just don't see it.

Liverpool need stability and can't keep changing managers every season. Rodgers is a good, young manager that I think will build something exciting at Liverpool if he is given time to do it. Like what would be the point of sacking him? Get a new guy in and then another revamp of the squad. Liverpool are never to going to get where they want to be in football if they follow that path.
Our owners need to realise that we need to invest millions to get anywhere in the Premiership. Look at Chelsea, Man City and at time Man United, they've spent 100's of millions over the years and just look where they are... Right at the TOP!
