We've lost great strikers before and coped and we'll easily cope now ,yes Suarez is a loss however we are in a better position squad wise , financially and tactically than in along time .
We will not easilly make top 4 again this season, teams have worked out rodgers, they will just sit deep and we will struggle to break teams down, i'm not really impressed with the amount of money we have spent on unproven young players, we did this by spending 8m and 11m on Alberto and Illori, and 10m on Borini, also Coates, Aspas, Assaidi... Where are they now? What have they done.. They can't even make a weak bench last season..
Qualifying for the CL i would have thought we would be aiming higher quality players than Lambert, Lallana, Lovren, Markovic, yes markovic has potential but if it doesnt work out thats 25m down the drain, just like the aspas and Co money we could have spent on a top quality proven player. Do we not learn?
Everton are about to sign Lukakku a 20 goal a season player for less than we paid for Markovic..
Have to remember Everton is not a threat to Chelsea so Chelsea would sell for less. If Man Utd, City, Liverpool or Arsenal were interested then i guarantee Lukaku would be a £26-30m striker

Coped as in struggled to secure Europa? How many times have Liverpool been in the CL since Torres left?
I don't think we'll miss Luis too much , its that it looks like we'll not be signing a marque name to make up for losing him, we've signed some good players just over paid but they'll improve us and are squad. But definitely think we'll struggle to repeat last year. as long as we finish above Everton and united I'll take that, as long as that's not 7th!!!

That wasn't just because of losing Torres but because we were a bad team and he made up for our inefficiency's but we're a much better team than we were now as we have squad depth that we haven't had for years.

Ever the optimist aren't we
Being Realistic....
If you are watching our pre season we still look shocking defending, there is no organisation at all.... Gerrard looks past it too..

We're not the only team in pre-season that looks shaky at the back plus Stevie looks tired not past it .
The goal we conceded was another mistake by him in a defensive area, he doesn't look comfortable playing dm
