Could be a one time deal then!!! Best of luck!!
Don’t get me wrong it’s the “worst” Barca team since maybe circa 06/07 but any team with Messi has to be respected. They really didn’t need to do too much to get past a very poor and average Utd. Will be a very very tight and close two games but I just think we’ll full short.
You cannot say Barcelona are a bang average team not with Messi, Coutinhho and Suarez and at times Liverpool made them make errors but they got us with sheer brilliance of movement. Second goal very unlucky, off the crossbar right into the feet of Messi but the third goal, well you have to admire it, it was class from Messi, a free kick of the highest order. Some yellow cards should have been shown more often but the referee on the whole did well. 3-0 down, it's going to be a GARGANTUAN ask to score three at Anfield let alone stop them from scoring, so I really can't see us getting through, but we shall see. Home advantage, good crowd behind us, anything is possible. Leave this for now and concentrate on Saturday and Newcastle.
3-0 result is the biggest travesty I’ve ever seen. They were clinical and we weren’t. We should be coming back with at worst a 3-2 result.
That said though, Klopp made some bad selections tonight, Wijnaldum put in the kind of performance I was afraid he would put in, albeit in an unfamiliar role, and putting Gomez in ahead of Trent was a big mistake.
Oh and Suarez can fuck right off. He deserves dog’s abuse in the second leg. Shithouse rat.
Well thats done and dusted. All the sad sap Utd, Chelski, City and god knows who else fans will be rolling around pissing themselves because we won't win anything this year even though most of those wont either.
Didn't watch the game but by all accounts we did better then a 3-0 defeat would show. We learnt a hard European lesson, don't take your chances you get punished. Especially against the best player to ever play the damn game. Thank fuck this might be the only encounter with the little bastard.

Pfft...I couldn’t give a flying fig about what Yernited fans think. Whatever happens next week, we’re back in the Champions League next season with a strengthened squad raring to go.
That shower will be in the Europa going to play the likes of Spartak Binmen with a squad saddled with deadwood shite that they can’t get rid of because they’re on big contracts, and they won’t have the quality players needed to improve them because quality players want to play Champions League.
City? I don’t care what Abu Dhabi FC fans think...council house club who won the lottery and changed the level of the playing field in their favour through financial chicanery and blatant cheating.
Chelsea...joke club..,joke manager...never cared what the scum who follow that shower have to say ever, not going to start now.
Fuck them all.
I think your point of not caring about the other clubs would of been a lot stronger had you not gone on a full rant about the other clubs, right after it
I said to the chap next door who had invited me to watch the game that I'd rather be beaten by a top side like Barcelona than maybe one of the lesser teams in this league. I cannot see us winning next time but as Carl says we still get to compete next year in the same League and maybe attract big players...my one concern is if we don't win the League we may well lose Mané or Salah or both which would be a disaster. I hope I am wrong.
Goodness me, this why i and many other fans can't stand Liverpool fans, arrogant and deluded beyond belief, btw the last time you won the first division my team Luton were in the first division, and for the best part of the last 25 years we have been in the wilderness, but we have now just been promoted back to the championship
Liverpool fans still seem to think they are one of, if not the biggest club in the world, but even Spurs and Westham have bigger stadiums than you now
Liverpool fans on talksport are cracking me up right now
