I told you, I said not to forget what happened when we met Havant & Waterlooville and it nearly happened again - Liverpool should have put that game to bed ages ago but they pffaffed about at the back, what the hell were they doing? We only have ourselves to blame for that BUT I would think the replay will not be anything like that...at least I hope so. Shrewsbury Town played out of their skins and in the end I would say they deserved a replay.
I thought the first half was poor, the second half was ATROCIOUS.
Deserved to lose. Fabinho, Lovren and Matip were awful, couldn't pass the ball 5 yards to unmarked men, the front 3 were anonymous. Crappy replay to come during the break they were supposed to have and Liverpool only have themselves to blame.
If anything Shrewsbury will gain probably something financial from the replay and I thought that having conceded that own goal I half expected Liverpool to pile on more pressure on the Shrewsbury defence and definitely that should hve been maybe a direct free kick for the handball even if it wasn't deliberate. TBH it certainly wasn't a stylish, calculating, performance from a premier League side
If you put out a lower strength squad against a team that use the same players they normally play(although they had two good players to bring on) you are going to get swamped-Ferguson used to get caught out like that, he was so arrogant about how good his team was that he failed to realise that the other team have nothing to lose. You have to show respect for this competiton. Klopp made a mistake at the back, Fabinho clearly not back to his best and neither was Matip. Liverpool could have done without this replay but I am sure we will win it and then get back to concentrating on the Premier League. I agree they were atrocious!
Wouldn't be too sure about winning the replay. Klopp said no senior players will be involved and that Neil Critchley will take charge. So a slightly better team that played Villa in the league cup will play the replay.
The match is scheduled for the 5th/6th of February when the break is supposed to happen.

Absolute piss poor performance from the experienced players, I know it was their first game back but jeez. Keeper was outstanding again but beyond that pretty poor. Got away with one there but now for another game to play when we could be resting, even if it is just this team again. I knew we'd struggle playing the team we did, oh well. Sooner we focus on the league completely the better. One thing it did show is that if VVD or Gomez get injured within the next few weeks WE ARE FUCKED.
Amazing how quickly things turn around Liverpool fans were all singing and dancing, lose one game with their youth squad playing and all of a sudden its pandemonium.
It's the FA Cup, I know older English people romanticise it through nostalgia but it's not the league or Europe. The way Barca & Madrid are playing right now you are on for an impressive double that would be the best season since the days of Paisley.
Personally I hope its a Bayern v Liverpool final and Klopp can look for revenge after the Dortmund final
Pretty sure no one will think this will impact our league form or is a major issue, I certainly don't. More just an irritation. Its the FA cup, anything can happen but from 2-0 up we should have won. Just shows what any Liverpool fan with a brain knew already, Lovren just isn't good enough, thank god for Van Dijk.
As for a double, don't care about that just want the league won. Sure if it happens, amazing but I'll be surprised.
2-0 win against West Ham and another clean sheet. 8 more wins to go
The fans sing we're gonna win the league, I am beginning to finally believe that regardless of how many games are left, but what concerns me is how we will do when the Champions League kicks off again-Atletico Madrid are a good side and we will need to bring our A+ game for those, I don't know about the FA Cup though I've read a lot of the so-called pundits(who the hell ever thought Chris Sutton would be one of those?) who say Klopp is disrespecting that competition by a) not being there at all and b) playing another 'kids' side. It would be nice to continue and play Chelsea but I wouldn't shed too many tears if we went out - let's face we've hardly got out of the 5th round in the past. Anyway, this game is in the bag, next Southampton and next week Shrewsbury Town.
