BREAKING NEWS: Graham Mackrell has been found guilty of breaching the Health and Safety act (failed to have enough turnstiles open for the fans to go through) at Hillsborough. Hung jury on David Duckenfield who is charged with gross negligence manslaughter. Not sure what this means, whether or not he is still going to be still on trial but the prosecution say they will be seeking a retrial.
It's 1-1 against Southampton and this is not going to be an easy match-yes last time we went 1 down we actually beat them 6-1 but i can't see that happening tonight. Just brought on Henderson and Milner but Southampton are a wily team, they are not a soft touch so Liverpool will have to be careful and MUST score again and preferably win the game to keep up the pressure on Man City.
Salah
SCORES!!!! 50th goal at last! 2-1 to the Pool.
Full time Southampton 1 v Liverpool 3
but boy did they labour it for most of the second half.
Banana skin avoided but the signs didn't look good when Shane Long scored only his second goal of the season & Liverpool being outplayed for large parts of the 1st half but two goals from unlikely sources in Keita & Henderson put us back on track in the title race. With the albatross finally removed from Salah's neck on scoring his 50th goal (from 69 games) when he chose to go it alone from his own half (I was shouting at the screen like a man possessed for him to pass to Mane on his left).Back on top over to you City.
Ah I listened to it on TalkSport(god they bloody awful on that) so didn't see the game as we don't have BT Sport either. I get what you are saying but Salah HAD to score that goal and now that is done maybe he will get back his normal shooting boots. Henderson is capable of scoring goals but hasn't been in great form. I wish we could get the Ox back in midfield, hopefully he will be ready soon. Alexander-Arnold is a good player but needs to be careful in the air, perhaps Van Dyjk might have changed sides with him, good to hear that Lovren is back too. Onwards and upwards - next the Champions League and Porto.
Well that was predictable. God the last 5 games are going to be unbearable.
City are going to be getting twitchy now. On course for 90 plus points and we are still there, snapping away at them, piling on the pressure.
They might still win the title but even if they do I’ll find it easier to cope with than in 2014, for the simple reason that in that campaign we capitulated and collapsed, and essentially handed them the title. This time we’re giving it everything, loads of grit, loads of heart, far better defensively. I’ll be proud of the lads whichever way it pans out.
Southampton were superb and will do very well under Ralph next season.

I think it's going to come down to that very last game I reckon and might be decided by goals scored this time.
I think the crucial game for us will be Chelsea and City's will be United(there is no way they will want to be beaten by City so they could do us a favour) however as long as Mo Salah is back on form it will be an exciting lead up. I read that Mane could leave in the Summer, not sure why I've not seen him mention he is unhappy at Liverpool, but if he did go we might go for Memphis Depay. I hope he stays.
