Inevitable Everton lost 2-0 to Man City and Man City are now top on goal difference-time to sack Klopp and there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth across Liverpool. Ridiculous! What idiot would want such a successful manager sacked at this crucial part of the season. Let's look at it realistically BOTH teams have slipped up, and BOTH teams have had their problems. The paper was full of Klopp's mistakes how he shouldn't have got rid of Nathaniel Clyne and Naby Keita isn't showing the sort of form he was bought for...again nonsense. Clyne was injured for months so we couldn't have used him anyway; it's his decision to leave and good luck to him. Naby Keita needs a bit more time and he will be a great player. Liverpool have done fantastically well and will continue to stay in the top three BUT we have to tighten up at the back-losing Gomez and Alexander-Arnold was a blow but at least Alexander-Arnold will return.

We also have two newcomers Camacho and Jones that could play in that role, so I don't see Liverpool finished yet. Salah, Mané and Firmino need to keep finding their shooting boots and scoring goals but another slip up and that could be a major dent...meanwhile don't sack the manager-real Liverpool fans know that would be suicidal at this stage. Next up Bayern Munich, now that will be a real test, get through that and then concentrate on the League again.
None of the Liverpool fans I know are calling for Klopp's head & if the board were foolish enough to do that Klopp has that kind of charisma that would see him walk into pretty much any managerial job that came available. With the injuries in defence (particularly Gomez & Trent) I would have liked to have seen Klopp bring in some sort of defensive reinforcement during the January transfer window (a decent player or 2 not some short term fix who'll probably be sold off in the Summer). For me I thought loaning out Clyne was a big mistake particularly as Trent-Arnold has had an injury ravaged season & merely expecting Milner,Henderson,Fabinho slotting in that position is like putting a square peg in a round hole & Klopp doesn't seem to like the idea of shifting Left-Back Alberto Moreno over to right-back.What is alarming though it isn't just a player or two playing poorly it's the whole team but looking at players outside the usual first eleven I just don't see many game-changers & strength-in-depth is pretty thin.I think Spurs have the same problem with Kane out injured replacing their key player is a struggle & so if Liverpool (I hope not) get an injury to Salah or Mane I don't really see the ready made replacements on the bench.
We will hopefully get The Ox back soon-we need him.
Sack Klopp and get the special one in Tongue Tongue Tongue

you might win something for one season and sack him the next Tongue Tongue Tongue
^And spend £10-20 million on compensation for Mourinho when giving him the bullet he's a 1-2 season wonder before things generally turn sour.Funny thing is Mourinho admitted in his younger days he was a Liverpool supporter (Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is another) but always has the knack of slating the club at every opportunity,he even claimed he turned down the Liverpool manager's job before Rafa Benitez took it.Should the manager's position ever become vacant I wouldn't touch Mourinho with a shitty stick & would prefer Allardyce or God-forbid Hodgson (he was awful the first time around).

I was reading a story about players who's contracts run out this Summer & would be free-agents & from Liverpool's squad it would be;James Milner,Daniel Sturridge,Alberto Moreno,Lazor Markovic,Camacho.Out of those players I can only see re-signing would be James Milner & possibly Sturridge. But I cast my gaze across the Premiership & French & German top leagues & free-agents include Vincent Kompany, Juan Mata (less so being a Man U player),David Luiz,Gary Cahill,Adrien Rabiot (PSG), Arjen Robben & Franck Ribery (both Bayern) to name a few of many.I wasn't looking at the free-agent scenario for the club to sign players on a shoestring budget but for quality players that could bolster squad depth & possibly push for a first team spot.Adrien Rabiot is a very realistic prospect having turned down Barcelona & Spurs & hinted that a move to Liverpool would interest him.If Kompany's football career hadn't been blighted by so many injuries I would have said yes (plus we have enough injury-prone players of our own).David Luiz is one that would interest me though I reckon he'd work well alongside Van Dijk,he would be an addition to the Brazilian connection ie Firminho & Fabinho & he must be worth a punt for his free kicks alone.
Didn't Maureen-O go on about how much he admired Steven Gerrard once? I wonder what he thinks of him now he is doing so well up in Scotland with Rangers. I'd like to think that sooner or later Gerrard would come back to Liverpool and manage-I think he'd really shake things up and make Liverpool in the same guise as they were in the 1980's under Paisley, Fagan etc. It could happen. I see that we've been looking at Timo Werner and some other players but if anything did happen it would more likely be in the Summer which is when we seem to do a lot more trade.

Saw something on line showing Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexander-Arnold training and could be available for games soon. Henderson should be back to organise the midfield and hopefully Liverpool will get back to winning and leading the table again. Hoping for a good game against Bournemouth tomorrow but we should be wary of them and any other lower league side-they are the ones you need to beat.

Normality resumed by Liverpool 3-0 against Bournemouth(who have been a thorn in our side in the past) but 3 goals will help and for now back to the top!
