Doesn't look good right now,but I'm sure the fee would be pretty substantial (£40 mil) if the figures are to be believed (pretty cheap) but hey,we've lost great players in the past,and no doubt will again,onwards and upwards I say.

MARCA already reported a few days ago that there had been contact between Luis Suárez and Real Madrid. MARCA can now confirm that a deal to sign the Uruguayan has been struck between both parties.
The deal is nothing new. It was reached some weeks ago. On one hand, there were the player's agents led by Pere Guardiola, Pep's brother and on the other, Florentino Pérez's envoys in these matters, the Money men. It's a done deal.
As far as MARCA knows, the deal - which we must clarify, has not been finalised - would be for four years and would include a significant pay-rise for the player, as per the position he would play in, that of a Real Madrid centre-forward.
Luis Suárez's contract contains a £40m - just under €47m - buy-out clause. A price that the Reds are not prepared to lower.
In other words, that is what it is going to cost Real Madrid if it wants to sign 'Lucho' Suárez. Nobody expects Liverpool to lower its asking price by even one euro, because the English side does not want to part with its player.
Obviously, Suárez wants to play in the Spanish league. Aside from his footballing reasons, he is not having an easy time in the Premier League. He is currently serving a six-match ban following his latest controversy with Ivanovic.

His buyout clause is over £40m mate. That's from Tony Barrett (Top Source).

I actually think its best we sell him now, he clearly wants to go to madrid, if we spend the money on proven talent, not potential i'll be happy if we get 50 - 60 million for him, but we need to stop worry about future now, we have enough young players, we need to buy for here and now before we fall more behind. Maybe 40 million plus Alonso or 30 million and Higuain.?

And to top it all off though Sturridge has ligament injury now.

Suarez said he wants to leave a day after he says he is happy, I just hope we get rid of him Asap, his reason is the media writing bad thing about him, maybe if he not bite people they wouldnt! He really annoy me after the club and fans stick by him. Sooner he leave now the better i think.

he says the club no how he feels and what he wants yet the club say something different that he hasn't said anything to them. it seems to be every time he goes on international duty away from Liverpool he says something!

You have to love the way he blames the media for wanting the move, they clearly forced him to dive, to racially abuse someone, to not shake hands with the man who he racially abused even thou he said he would, and then they also forced him to bite a fellow player, wow the media have such powers, you kinda get the impression he feels he is the victim in all of this, i would say he is very delusional, as good as he is surely he isnt worth all this grief.

We need to just get rid of him now, players who play silly games like he is are no use to the club in the long run, it just causes unsettlement in the dressing room for a start, obviously his mind is else where, cash in on him and bring in 2 or 3 quality players, David Villa £10million goalscorer, age is nothing aslong as he puts the ball in the net for 3 seasons or so if we sold suarez for 50mil and buy villa we still have 40 mil left to spend however. Plus the 15 million from Carroll and the 15 million chelsea still owe for torres, maybe even bring him back too to partner Villa? its better money spent than spend 10 million or so on players such as borini who will more than likely be sold in a few seasons time because he cant get a game.

Your fascination with David Villa is now becoming disturbing apparently we are now interested in his though, that said it is silly season. If Suarez does go we'll sign a new striker first it won't be like last season again.

As for Suarez leaving, personally I only feel he should leave if he really wants to as this will only drag on through the season & every transfer window till he does go. I'd much prefer him to stay & don't care what the press say about him.

How about £10 to £15mil plus Alonso & Higuain from Real ? Would love to have Xabi back at the very least as he's stated he would'nt be against a return .
