I think we’ll be the earliest League title decide in Europe I think. I’m sure PSG wrapped up the French League in late March once, at this rate that record will go. God.....what a time to be alive.
A quick Google search tells me the earliest Premier League title win was 2000-2001, April 14th, Man United.
As it stands Liverpool win their next 6 league games they have it won, that will be against Place on the 21st of March. I don't know if FA cup games might be scheduled in meaning the Palace could be rescheduled for a later date. Only matters if the Under-9's can get passed Shrewsbury.
All this could change of course depending on results, could be won earlier if Liverpool keep winning and City and Leicester keep dropping points.
After the Palace game Liverpool will play City (April 4th) and Villa (April 11th) before the deadline of April 14th so there are 8 games to win the title in record time.
Yeah I saw that, was surprised as I thought it was Sheikh City’s from 17/18 but clearly not. Was more interested in the European records then Premier league. I’m really not a fan of PL, over hyped.
This idea that the league is particularly poor this season...
Average points after 25 games over the last five seasons:
1st- 60
2nd - 52
3rd - 50
This season:
Liverpool - 73
City - 51
Leicester - 49
That great 'fount of knowledge' in the Daily Mail, Martin Samuel(whom my father has had a run in with in the past over athletics) reckons Liverpool could win the title by 16th March assuming that Man City slip up(we hope) but I still reckon we take it a game at a time and not think about the title until next month.
Jurgen Klopp could make a call to the dressing room at half time during the Shrewsbury game tonight. I am sure the lasts would appreciate that.
It's looking pretty good at the moment 0 - 0 halftime and seems Curtis Jones is having an impact
Just catching up on Match of the Day.

OG after a Trent-esque crossfield ball by Williams.
Can the under 7's actually win it ?
Brilliant if they can see it out
Well who would have seen this, an own goal and a win for the kids-who was it who said "you cannae win wi kids!"
Liverpool have got through to the fifth round and a much different side will face Chelsea. Next up after the break Norwich City! Let's laud them from the rafters Jones, Elliott, Millar etc-fantastic performance.
It's all over and the kids have done it.
Fully deserved, better team throughout the game, very composed on the ball and played some very good neat and tidy football. Special mentions for Williams, Chirivella, Jones and Elliott, all played incredibly well. The 2 centre backs, Hoever and Van Den Berg looked very solid too.
Unreal stuff and for those that say Klopp should have been managing the game, Critchley deserved that, he's coached those kids every day, he deserved to manage them tonight and the manager and players should get loads of credit for that performance.
Jurgen Klopp has been named manager of the month for the 5th time this season, breaking Pep Guardiola's record of 4 wins in a single season.
Could he set a new record by being named for Manager of the Year before the end of the season? And could any Liverpool player win Player of the Year award as well?
