I've said this before, and that is that you don't like when people disagree with you. You can't just think everyone is going to agree with you for christ sake. Man up a bit

I'm not trying to take away from our history but the fact of the matter is that we haven't won the title in 23 years and aren't playing Champions League football thus unfortunately we don't have the same draw as United or City do anymore .

exactly mate, we're probably further away from United now than we've ever been, a million miles! people need to wake up and realise we're not the force we once were. only a few years ago now we were the number 1 side in Europe and now we're struggling to qualify for the Europa League.

and because of this there is no way we are gonna attract the same calibre of player like Alonso, Masch, Torres anymore. and anyone who thinks we can is deluded I'm afraid to say.

we can moan about bad luck, dominating teams, hitting the post etc all day long but the fact is we haven't been good enough this season, our defending has been SHOCKING at times and fu*k knows were we'd be without Suarez's goals.

Always next season eh?

History is History, Liverpool need to look for the future and stop using History to show off "18 titles..." yes we have 18 titles but none in the last 23 years. 5 European Cups.. yes we did bloody amazing to win in 2005 against milan and then another Final 2 years later. end of the day, Liverpool are better off concentrating on the League next season instead of being in europe unless Brendan wants to use the europe to give the younger players experience and game time. We r slipping down that league position, so I seriously think we need to fully focus on our league position next season. There wont be any excuses when next season kicks off. Lets hope we sign a few decent players, offload 1-2 players and have Borini & allen fit and ready for 2013-2014!

These are the posts that make the most sense around here but it seems untill now I'm the only one thinking it. I've just read through about 4 pages where most posts had a point to be made, even if as an individual you may not agree.
The Suarez goal thing annoys me though, this isn't the first time it's been said. If we didn't have Luis Suarez we'd have someone else, who may have scored more or less goals, we'd probably have signed Daniel Sturridge at the beginning of the season if Luis wasn't here.

alexxxi, you're spot on there, but I said this a few pages back about not being in Europe but everyone got a bit giddy.

The history thing is toothless when talking about using it to buy players born after 1990, it's like getting them to believe in Jesus, just something they've been told about.
Chelsea & Arsenal may be having a shit season but over the last 5 or so years they've seen Chelsea win the Premier League & Champions League & seen Arsenal playing whenever they watched tv on a Champions League night.

As for Ashley Williams & Ryan Shawcross not being the sort of players we should be signing, thats bollocks in my opinion. Whilst not having looked at Williams in any great focus I know he's a decent player but would rather we don't sign him, Ryan Shawcross on the other hand, if fit I feel should be in the England squad rather than Lescott who's just a bit shit. Just because he plays for Stoke it doesn't make him any less of a player. Mamadou Sakho I've not seen play so can't comment on, but just because he plays for PSG it doesn't make his a better Premier League defender than Shawcross. I've seen PSG play 3 times this season, I'm not sure if he played in these games but PSG as a team were shit to say the least.
Diego Godin will catch people's eyes & ears due to his performances in the World Cup & Copa America, I've seen Atlético Madrid play whenever they've been on Sky & he's not the player he was in those tournaments.

Just a few notes to all posters, can you leave the general chit chat out of here please or at least to a minimum, I mean the women in football stuff, as it has nothing to do with Liverpool & can clogg up or even add a page to the post you have to read through. Also stop all the slagging of each other, I've said this before, an opinion is your own thoughts, we've all got them, you can't just go bitching at someone due to not agreeing with what they post, this is a public forum, yes there's a few featherless posts now & again but these don't merit being bitched at unless it's totally obvious they're in the wrong, hypocritical comes to mind when reading some post on here!

If you're going to quote a post of someone who's already quoted someone else, but you only want to quote one of the said posts then delete one you don't wish to quote as if you don't & someone wants to quote your response then their post will have 3 quotes plus their reply & this in some cases can take up half a page & get pretty annoying. Or you can do what I've don't & Text Size it to xx Small.

Apparently this is a leak of our home shirt for 13/14 , not too bad in my opinion , though would of prefered the stripes went all the way around the collar , much prefer this seasons shirt tho .
