There have been a rumours circulating for several months about Real Madrid being interested in Mane & him wanting to move but I merely put it down to media making up stories by reading between the lines of Mane being one of the in-form Premiership players this season & Madrid's falling from Grace & drawing their own conclusions from that. It's been clear to see from this season Madrid have been a team in turmoil with their Managerial merry-go-round in full flow several times & Zidane returning (for how long?) & their dramatic exit from the CL by Ajax. There have also been rumours that several of their big name players set to leave at the end of the season ie Marcelo, Kroos,Modric,Bale etc & if that is true Madrid will be in a period of transition for a few seasons at least.I've always been of the assumption that Eden Hazard has always been Madrid's No#1 target & if that remains the case why would they seek Mane other than a being a ruse to coax Hazard into pushing for a move & should Chelsea fail to clinch a CL spot for next season it maybe closer to reality.
Whenever I've listened to Mane in interviews he never comes across as a player unhappy or itching for a move in fact quite the opposite as he gets on well with his teammates & has a level-headiness about him.Mane is probably pretty astute with his former teammate Coutinho's predicament at Barcelona & where he dug his heels in & expressed a desire to play for a bigger club. But unfortunately for Coutinho it somehow doesn't seem to be working out for him & rumours suggest Barcelona may be looking to offload him at the end of the season.Players can be like jigsaw pieces at times at various different clubs in terms of fitting or not fitting in (Alexis Sanchez,Fernando Torres,Lukkaku etc) where often the grass isn't greener on the other side in hindsight.
Just on the thought regarding Coutinho I was speaking to several of my mates who are fellow Liverpool supporters on if the situation arises would they like to have Coutinho back. We're clearly missing & need a creative midfielder of his quality but for me I would never have Coutinho back purely over his mercinary like attitude when he refused to play trying to push for a move,Javier Mascherano did exactly the same thing. And should Countinho get a transfer move away (& return to us) from Barcelona having his head turned at a previous club (& act like a spoilt brat) whats to say it won't happen again down the line?.
