Casino Royale (2006)
Daniel Craig's first mission as James Bond is an exciting, tense and high octane thriller. A reboot of the much loved franchise sees the newly promoted 00 agent engaged in a high stakes poker tournament against Mads Mikkelsen's terror financier, Le Chiffre. Excellent fight scenes, breathtaking car chases and despite a silly confrontation towards the end, this was a hugely enjoyable movie. I'd never seen Craig's debut before - I'm pleased I took the time to watch.
8.5 / 10
John Wick 1 and 2
Excellent. Plot was stronger in the first film, but great combo to while away a few hours. The ending to part 2 sets up the next installment and I can see why the franchise has gained a dedicated fan base.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
That got very dark.
Old (2021)
One of the weirdest made movies I've ever seen, The dialogue is so bad it's almost like it's intentional... Only good thing about this film was Thomasin McKenzie tits
3/10
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The third act of the movie is so much like the third of Back To The Future Part II, the use of Time Travel done right and Gary Oldman was great.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
Watch out for the cameo from 80’s animated series great touch and the Paramount intro.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
After enjoying Into the Spider-Verse, I had uncharacteristically lofty expectations for this and it did not disappoint. Voice acting was top quality, great action and I'm not ashamed to say I went through an entire tube of pringles throughout...9.5/10 (the movie not the crisps lol).
Fast X (2023).
I've got to confess I'm a bit of a sucker for these movies and I've always enjoyed most of them - This next installment I found to be entertaining and good on the eye, especially with the action sequences - as you would expect from a Fast and the Furious movie!...
However these movies seem to be adding more and more big names to their franchise and I wish they would give some of them a little more room to develop imo - I wish Charlize Theron, Jason Statham and Brie Larson were given more screen time.
Though when Gal Gadot popped up from that Sub, well that was a massive 'bring it on'
from me......I can't wait until the second part to this especially with the 2 cameos at the end!
Overall worth a look, Jason Momoa's character was slightly tedious and annoying but with the next installment on the horizon - Then please give all the characters (especially the new and old ones) enough screen time imo.
7.5/10
Retribution (2023) allsome film 10/10
