Tomb Raider
Lara Croft returns in the its a very entertaining film which reboots the Tomb Raider movie franchise very well indeed.
Alicia Vikander is excellent as the new Lara Croft & there is plenty of very good action sequences & the special effects are very good. The story is very good and the ending sets things up for plenty of new adventures for Lara Croft
8/10
X-Men First Class
I’ve watched the other X-Men films in the new franchise, Days of Future Past and Apocalypse before First Class. Really enjoyed the film and a great cast with equally good special effects. The only negatives I have is they get rid of characters before you get to know them so if there bumped off you don’t feel anything or other characters you get know them which I feel the older X-Men films did a better job of fleshing out the characters. Also after seeing this now some of the characters disappear from the next two films with no explanation as to what happened to them. I felt this film was better then X-Men Apocalypse but i preferred X-Men Days of Future Past, but I still really enjoyed the film. I have Days of Future Past and Rogue Cut Version so it’s gonna be interesting one day to watch the Rogue Cut Version of Days of Future Past and compare it to the original version.
The Wolverine cameo was piss funny and I love how that joke is used in Days of Future Past. I do feel that X-Men needs to be left for a while and rebooted, we’ll soon see what happens with new film.

Wolf Warrior II(2017)
An action/martial arts thriller sequel from director Jing Wu sees Leng Deng,a one man army killing machine come out of retirement to obliterate an evil group of African mercenaries(who all know Kung Fu)in the most violent ways possible. It's all old school, old fashioned, jingoistic nonsense but the incredible fight scenes and action make it a wonderfully enjoyable piece of escapism. It also went on to become the most successful Chinese film of all time, grossing $870m domestically.
7/10
Hitchcock's Shower Scene : 78/52 (2018)
A really great documentary filmed in black and white looking at the influences and legacy of the iconic murder scene in Pyscho(1960).With wonderful contributions from actors, writers, producers, directors and some interesting archive footage and interviews with Hitchcock himself. The only low point was when it very briefly showed footage of the utterly pointless and terrible remake from 1998.
9/10
Tomb Raider 6/10 - ok reboot but nothing special
The Leopard Man(1943)
A very stylishly shot and well acted horror from director Jacques Tourneau, adapted from the novel "Black Alibi" written by Cornell Woolrich.A simple plot revolving around a rivalry between club owners in a New Mexico town that escalates when a Leopard used in a publicity stunt, escapes and kills a local only to then inspire a serial killer to start picking people off.
7/10
Flight of The Phoenix (2004)
This the remake with Dennis Quaid, Giovanni Ribisi stole the show for me with his performance. Also a very young Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester from Supernatural).
7.5/10.
Murder on the Orient Express - 7/10.
Sure it could have been better and Branagh's tash was a bit ott, but overall an enjoyable film.
Peter Rabbit 7/10 - very entertaining film with some laugh out loud moments.
Split. 6/10 fucked up and long winded.
